The Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders crack open the NFL's Week 5 as we make our top Bears-Commanders player props for Thursday Night Football based on the best TNF odds.

The Chicago Bears are still seeking their first win of the season and have gone nearly an entire calendar year without a victory. On Thursday night, they will attempt to turn things around as they face the Washington Commanders on the road.

Washington holds a 2-2 record in their first four games of the season. In their previous game, the Commanders displayed a determined performance against the division-leading Eagles, but they ultimately succumbed to a 34-31 overtime loss.

To complement our Bears vs. Commanders predictions for TNF, here are our best Bears vs. Commanders player props for Thursday Night Football; don't miss out on our Bears-Commanders parlay for a bigger payday (NFL odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Bears vs. Commanders player props: Thursday Night Football

Bears total rush yards Under 128.5 (-115 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Justin Fields always poses a big rushing threat, which makes the Over seem tempting to take here. However, despite ranking second on the team in rushing yards (134), the Bears are only averaging 119 yards per game on the ground. That number plummets to 91.5 on the road.

Chicago ran for 171 yards against the league's worst rush defense during Week 4 against Denver. Notwithstanding, the Bears had not crossed this threshold in each of their three previous games.

This week, they face a Commanders’ defense that has allowed 122.5 rushing yards per game to start the season. Only the Buffalo Bills have surpassed the 129-yard mark in total rushing yards against Washington this year.

Last week, they stifled one of the league’s best rushing attacks, holding the Eagles to just 107 total yards in Philadelphia.

Our Phil Wood has some thoughts in his Justin Fields NFL player props that may impact the Bears' team rushing total.

Commanders Over 28.5 total points (+152 via Caesars

Most of the best sports betting sites have this listed at either 24.5 or 25.5 if they are listing it at all. Currently, BetMGM will cost you the most with their 25.5 points juiced to -110 for the Over. In this case, we will take advantage of the ability to ladder this number in our favor on Caesars

The Commanders carry a 22 points per game average into this Thursday night matchup. Nevertheless, they have put up 30 points in two out of their last three games, including last week’s 31-point outing against the Eagles.

Washington is set to take on a Chicago defense that has allowed the second-most points per game this season. Opponents are averaging 34.3 points per game against the Bears in 2023.

Three of the four teams they have faced this year have scored at least 29 points, and Tampa Bay fell just two points short of cashing this prop.

Brian Robinson anytime TD + WAS moneyline (+135 via DraftKings)

Robinson has become one of the main weapons in the Commanders’ offense, having crossed the goal line in three out of his first four games this season.

He only logged a modest three touchdowns last season, but one of those happened in his only matchup against the Bears. Now he gets to square off against a Chicago defense that has allowed a running back to reach the end zone in all four of their games this season.

Washington enters Thursday night on the wrong end of a two-game losing streak after winning their first two contests. On the other hand, the Bears have yet to notch a victory through four games. What’s more, Chicago has only one win in their last nine attempts versus the Washington football team going back to the 2004 season.

Jon Metler's also high on the Commanders' lead back with his NFL player props for Week 5.
