The Kansas City Chiefs face the San Francisco 49ers in the 2024 Super Bowl on Sunday, and we're looking at the best Super Bowl defensive prop predictions based on the NFL odds from our best Super Bowl betting sites.

All of the attention ahead of Super Bowl 58 has been on the offensive firepower for the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers ahead of their clash Sunday in Las Vegas. But let's not forget about the defensive stars, too.

These teams each dominated key defensive metrics during the regular season, though we've seen varying degrees of success for these units in the postseason. Kansas City's defense has elevated its play; will we see San Francisco's stars do the same on Sunday?

To accompany our Super Bowl oddsChiefs vs. 49ers prediction and other Super Bowl predictions, here are our best Super Bowl Defensive props for Chiefs vs. 49ers (odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence is based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Super Bowl Defensive prop predictions

Nick Bosa to record a sack (+100 via Caesars) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nick Bosa ended the regular season with 10.5 sacks, his lowest output in three years. He recorded at least one sack in seven games throughout the campaign. But he still led the 49ers in sacks.

Bosa collected his only two sacks during the postseason against Jared Goff and the Lions two weeks ago. He was the only San Francisco defender to sack Patrick Mahomes the last time these two teams faced in the 2022 season.

You can find variations of this prop at our best sports betting sites, including Bosa to record 0.25 sacks, which is currently -115 at DraftKings. However, Bosa has only notched under a full sack in two of his nine games when he's recorded one. That makes taking the plus money on a yes/no proposition a better play through Caesars.

Fred Warner Over 8.5 total tackles (+115 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Warner led the 49ers with 132 total tackles this season, averaging 8.25 tackles and assists per game. The ferocious linebacker has beaten this mark seven times during the regular season. He's logged 20 tackles during the postseason, including 13 in his last outing against the Detroit Lions. The veteran linebacker has registered 17 combined tackles in his two games against Kansas City. That includes an 11-tackle day in his first meeting back in the 2018 season.

The Chiefs are surrendering 61 total tackles so far this year. They've allowed that number to rise to 66.7 over the last three. The Baltimore Ravens registered 83 tackles as a team against Kansas City during the AFC Championship Game.

BetMGM isn't the only book listing this prop at +115 for the Over. You can find it at Caesars and bet365 too. DraftKings is listing at -105 for Warner to eclipse this number.

Justin Reid Over 4.5 solo tackles (+130 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Place $50+ in SGPs at bet365 and get $5 in bonus bets for every touchdown ($20 in SGPs, get $2 per touchdown). Don't forget to use our bet365 bonus code! Offer excludes Ontario.

Offenses are struggling to run the ball against the Chiefs during 2023-24, and the team is facing 25.3 rushing attempts per game as a result. On the flip side, quarterbacks are attempting 33.6 passes per contest.

That's allowed Reid to lead the Chiefs in solo tackles (74) as a safety. He passed this total in eight games during the regular season and once so far in the postseason. Reid fell just one tackle short of this mark in each of his other two postseason appearances.

You can find this prop at a similar price across most of our best sportsbooks, with DraftKings giving +124 and BetMGM at +125.
