Super Bowl prop bet facts

Still looking for help figuring out which side of your Super Bowl props to choose? Here are some quick facts to help you decide!

1. National anthem length: Seven of the past 10 national anthems have surpassed the two-minute mark, with the Over cashing six times over that span.

2. Coin flip result: Tails has a slight 29-27 edge over heads all-time in Super Bowl history. Additional fun fact: The team to win the coin toss has lost eight straight Super Bowls!

3. Opening kickoff touchback: Only three of the previous 31 Super Bowl opening kickoffs have resulted in a touchback; all three were kicked indoors.

4. Opening drive result: Only once in the previous 23 Super Bowls has the opening drive produced a TD – and that was a kickoff return score from Devin Hester at Super Bowl 41.

5. First turnover: The 49ers and Chiefs combined for 46 turnovers during the 2023 NFL regular season.

6. Players to attempt a pass: The 49ers and Chiefs combined for just one pass from a non-QB this season (Chiefs punter Tommy Townsend had one attempt).

7. Missed field goal: Kansas City kickers converted 33 of 35 field goal attempts during the regular season, while their 49ers counterparts went 21-of-25.

8. More passing yards: Purdy and Mahomes ranked fifth and sixth, respectively, in passing yards this season.

9. More rushing yards: McCaffrey led the league with 1,459 rushing yards. Pacheco ranked 18th with 935 yards on the ground.

10. More receiving yards: Aiyuk led all pass-catchers participating in the Super Bowl with 1,342 receiving yards to rank seventh in the NFL. 49ers tight end (1,020) had 36 more yards than Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

11. Who will win Super Bowl 58: If I knew that, I'd be rich.

12. How many points will be scored: The 49ers were third in the NFL with 28.9 points per game in the regular season. The Chiefs averaged 21.8 points per game.

13. Gatorade color: It's not much of an edge, but orange has appeared more than any other color (five times), just ahead of Clear/Water and Blue.

14. Super Bowl MVP: Don't bother taking any player other than Purdy or Mahomes here: A quarterback has won this award in 12 of the previous 15 Super Bowls.
