A top-five scoring offense hosts a mid-tier defense that just traded away its centerpiece as I make my Titans vs. Bengals prediction.
The Bengals are a 12.5-point betting favorite Sunday, with kickoff from Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati set for 1 p.m. ET (CBS).

Titans vs. Bengals prediction & best bet
Titans +12.5 (-111 via bet365)
Any time the Titans are involved with a pick on the spread, it may feel alarming and gross. However, hear me out.
12.5 points is a lot to spot a team in the NFL, even if it only has 1 win and just traded away star DT Jeffrey Simmons to the Bears. The Titans have fared well on the road this season, going 2-1 ATS, losing by 6 points or less in all 3 contests.
In fact, Tennessee just won its last road game played, resulting in the Colts going full scorched earth with their front office and roster. Tony Pollard scored 3 touchdowns against the Browns in Week 7. Yet, despite the Titans' season-high 322 yards of offense, it wasn't enough to avoid losing on a walk-off field goal.
The Bengals fell into a 13-0 deficit at half-time against a Ravens offense playing without Lamar Jackson in Week 7. A fierce 35-0 second-half rally was a huge statement from Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase and the rest of Cincinnati's starters.
Tennessee is getting too many points here. Yes, their defense will be worse without Simmons, while facing a top-5 offense. Expect a heavy dose of Pollard again for the Titans' offense, facing a Bengals defense that allowed 460+ rushing yards in a 3-game stretch from Week 3 through Week 5.
The Titans will find a way to cover in this game. They've only suffered a blowout loss once since Week 1.
Go to bet365 and bet Titans +12.5 at -111 odds.
Ward, Pollard keep Titans competitive in Cincinnati
The Titans' offense finally struck a rhythm against a pretty tough Browns defense in Week 7. Expect OC Brian Daboll to continue funneling touches to Pollard, taking pressure off of Ward as a passer.
It's going to be a tough task for the Titans to contain Burrow and the Bengals' dynamic passing attack. However, if Tennessee can mount long drives via the run game, this gives them a chance to keep Cincinnati's offense on the sideline.
Expect a potential late cover from the Titans. The Bengals didn't pull away from the Dolphins in Week 5 and fell early to a short-handed Ravens offense before rebounding.
