Raiders vs. Jets prediction & best bet

Kirk Cousins' impressive 3-0 start as the Raiders' QB1 seems like a distant memory following a 4-game losing slump. Calls for top draft pick Fernando Mendoza are ramping up, so it's now or never for Cousins in a matchup against the Jets' increasingly bad defense.
New York has allowed 26+ points in consecutive outings against the Patriots and Dolphins. They just gave Miami its first win of the season, failing to force a turnover, while giving up 156 rushing yards.
Expect Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty to handle a heavy workload in this matchup. Cousins has plenty of talent as a passer, throwing for two touchdowns and at least 245 yards in five of his previous six starts.
Geno Smith hasn't targeted WR1 Garrett Wilson lately, leading to sideline frustration. While New York may get RB Breece Hall back from injury in a plus matchup against a Raiders run defense ranked 32nd in yards per carry (5 YPC), Maxx Crosby is still going to disrupt the backfield and cause issues for Smith.
In a game with such a tight line, give me the better quarterback and a young running back facing a struggling run defense like the Jets'. Cousins is highly competitive and knows his time is limited, so we should see a strong performance in the Meadowlands.

Cousins will pepper star tight end Brock Bowers with targets against a soft Jets secondary. Jeanty will do a number on the ground, while recently proving his talent as a dual-threat player out of the backfield in negative game scripts.
Smith and the Jets' offense are in a bad spot right now. OC Frank Reich isn't a strong play caller, and head coach Aaron Glenn is defense-first. The drama between Smith and Wilson is not a good sign, and Las Vegas is best in its secondary, limiting opponents to under 200 passing yards three times this season.
