Browns vs. Steelers Prediction: Week 8 Odds, Picks & Best Bet (Nov. 1)
Last Updated: October 31, 2026 10:30 AM EDT • 3 minute read X Social Google News Link
My best Browns vs. Steelers prediction focuses on how the defenses will dominate this game. When these two teams met earlier this season, they combined for over 50 points. However, oddsmakers have set the total below 40, and I agree with them that this should be a much lower-scoring game than the first matchup.
Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff from Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+. The Steelers are a 3.5-point betting favorite.

Browns vs. Steelers prediction & best bet
Under 39.5 (-112 via DraftKings)
Both teams are allowing fewer than 21.0 points per game. The Steelers have held three consecutive opponents to 22 or fewer points, while the Browns have held two of their last three opponents to 17 or fewer.
When these two teams met in Week 4, they combined for 51 points in a 27-24 Browns win. However, 20 of those points were scored in the final 10:10 of the game. Additionally, the Browns are averaging just 17.3 points per game since that contest, scoring more than 13 against only the Titans during that span.
📡 SBR Edge
Turnovers could stall numerous drives in this game. In the first meeting, both teams had two. The Steelers have forced 11 turnovers, which is tied for the fifth-most in the league. Meanwhile, the Browns have forced nine, but the offense has also given the ball away the same number of times.
Red-zone struggles will keep this low-scoring
When these two teams met in Week 4, the Browns went 2-for-2 in the red zone, and the Steelers went 2-for-3. I don't expect either team to have that much success on Sunday.
The Browns rank sixth in the league in red-zone defense, giving up touchdowns on just 45% of opponents' trips. Surprisingly, they've performed better on the road than at home, allowing teams to convert on just 41.67% of their attempts.
The Steelers have been nearly as impressive. They rank eighth in the league, allowing scores on just 46.15% of opportunities. And in home games, the defense is allowing teams to convert on just 40% of chances.
But it's not just the defenses that will make the difference on Sunday. Both offenses rank in the bottom seven in the league in red-zone scoring percentage, with neither scoring touchdowns on more than 50% of their chances.
