Many of the league's top teams are in action as part of Saturday's Halloween slate of games as I offer my NBA best bets today.
That includes the Thunder taking on the Rockets in Houston, which I targeted for my best bet. I also wagered on the total in 76ers vs. Hornets, alongside my favorite player prop of the day.

Best NBA bet today
Thunder vs. Rockets prediction: Rockets -2.5 (-114)
Injuries have already devastated the Thunder, not even two weeks into the new season. Oklahoma City is now without Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams, and Cason Wallace.
The depth of their talent advantage was a major reason for the Thunder's dominance over the last few seasons. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander doesn't have enough help to win this road matchup against the 5-1 Rockets. Houston's offense has come out of the gate on fire, averaging 121 points per game (third in the NBA). I would back the Rockets at -4.5, but appreciate the extra wiggle room at FanDuel's 2.5-point spread.

76ers vs. Hornets prediction: Under 215.5 (-106)
These are two of the league's top four scoring defenses, with Philadelphia and Charlotte a combined 11-1 to the Under this season.
Both squads are focused on half-court execution, rather than transition offense. That means fewer possessions and points as a result. I expect that to be even more true tonight for a 76ers team that should have tired legs on the second night of a back-to-back. I took Under 215.5 at FanDuel's -106 odds, but there's value paying down to -112.

Kings vs. Grizzlies prediction: Domantas Sabonis Under 13.5 rebounds (+108)
Kings center Domantas Sabonis leads the Association in rebounding in the early going, but this is the perfect spot for him to finish Under 13.5 rebounds for the first time this season.
The Grizzlies are a top-five rebounding team that's particularly adept on the offensive glass, ranking third in offensive rebounding rate. This is a high total for Sabonis to hit, even as a premier rebounder. I bet a half-unit on him finishing with fewer than 14 rebounds at FanDuel's market-best +108 odds, but I'd play it to -105.
