The league's best pass defense and MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes will face off in Super Bowl 57. Will the Philadelphia Eagles’ elite secondary shut down the Kansas City Chiefs star? Here are our Super Bowl defensive player prop picks based on the best NFL odds.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Eagles both have elite quarterbacks and have ridden impressive offenses into Super Bowl 57. But in a game with such slim margins on the point spread, it could be a few key defensive plays that ultimately decide which team is crowned champion to cash your Super Bowl 57 picks.

Here are our best Chiefs vs. Eagles defensive player prop picks for Super Bowl 57 (odds via Caesars, FanDuel, DraftKings; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Super Bowl defensive player props

Will James Bradberry have an interception: Yes (+600) ⭐⭐⭐

The Philadelphia pass rush has been lethal throughout these playoffs, most notably with linebacker Haason Reddick knocking San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy out of the NFC Championship Game. Given his own injury status, Mahomes won’t want to risk taking unnecessary shots to the body when the Eagles are bearing down on him in the Super Bowl.

That’s where Philly’s zone coverage scheme could open up cornerback James Bradberry to be opportunistic in cutting off short passes when Mahomes is under duress. The ball-hawking corner did exactly that in the NFC Divisional Round when he watched New York Giants QB Daniel Jones’ eyes light up under heavy pressure before swooping in for an INT.

You can find this prop at Caesars under the ‘Player Props’ tab. Bradberry’s odds are more favorable to bettors than the lines on teammates Darius Slay (+500) and C.J. Gardner-Johnson (+550). For those looking for an even more aggressive Bradberry prop, you can bet at FanDuel for the Eagles’ cornerback to be the first player in the Super Bowl to come up with an interception at +1100 odds.

Most tackles + assists: C.J. Gardner-Johnson (-164) vs. Trent McDuffie ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I like the value of this creative FanDuel prop as a bankroll builder. Though the -164 odds aren’t necessarily very juicy, I believe there’s credibility behind Gardner-Johnson being so heavily favored to secure more tackles+assisted tackles than Chiefs defensive back Trent McDuffie.

At DraftKings, the line on Mahomes' completions is set at 25.5, which is five completions more than the 20.5 line for Eagles QB Jalen Hurts. That’s a credit to the lack of downfield explosiveness in Kansas City’s offense without Tyreek Hill this season; in general, it just takes the Chiefs more plays to get down the field than it does the Eagles.

Although Gardner-Johnson can’t claim to have four-plus tackles in five straight games like McDuffie, the Eagles will simply have more opportunities to impact the game in this way against Kansas City’s deliberate passing approach.

Nick Bolton Under 10.5 total tackles (-145) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Cincinnati Bengals ran the ball just 17 times as a team in the AFC Championship Game. Only 13 of those rushing attempts came from running backs, thus limiting the opportunity for Kansas City’s chief run-clogging defensive lineman to rack up tackles. Bolton finished the game with just four total tackles.

The matchup with the run-heavy Eagles could lead to more chances, but Bolton has only six games this season with more than 10.5 total tackles. If Eagles running back Miles Sanders can get to the second level with frequency, I just view this line as too aggressive considering Bolton’s recent efforts.

Though BetMGM would be a better spot than DraftKings to bet Over on this 10.5-tackle line considering the -110 odds, you won’t find an advantage on the Under. Both DraftKings and BetMGM list it with -120 odds.
