However, let’s not forget that the Eagles still own the NFL’s best record entering Week 9 with a sparkling 7-1 mark. Philly’s offense ranks third in scoring and total yards, even with Jalen Hurts reportedly playing through a knee injury. The unit is capable of hurting opponents on the ground and through the air. The Eagles have also been solid defensively while boasting the league’s top run defense and giving up the eighth-fewest yards overall.
Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys come into this matchup on a high after routing the Los Angeles Rams 43-20 in a game that was even more lopsided than the final score suggests. But while Dallas owns an impressive 5-2 record and is allowing fewer than 180 passing yards per game, a lot of the Cowboys’ eye-catching stats have been compiled in blowouts of the Rams, Jets, New York Giants, and New England Patriots. The Cowboys allowed four touchdown passes to Brock Purdy during a 42-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers during the team's toughest test of the season.
