Although the 2023 NFL season had a rocky start, our anytime touchdown scorer predictions are gaining traction as we consistently identify potential outliers in the NFL odds through our best sports betting apps.

Our anytime touchdown scorer predictions column is down to a 0.35-unit profit for the 2023 NFL following a woeful start to the Week 9 slate. We missed on Thursday Night Football as well as our three Sunday picks. But never fear, Monday Night Football is here to save the day.

We'll be hoping to hit paydirt at plus-money odds when the Los Angeles Chargers face the New York Jets on Monday Night.

To complement our Chargers vs. Jets prediction and Zach Wilson NFL player props, here are our anytime touchdown scorer predictions for Week 9 as we continue to get the better of our best NFL betting sites.

Anytime touchdown scorer predictions: Week 9: MNF

Chargers vs. Jets anytime touchdown scorer prediction: Justin Herbert, LAC, QB (+600 via Caesars) ⭐⭐⭐

The Chargers have a thin receiving corps entering Monday Night Football. First, Mike Williams, then Joshua Palmer have been place on injured reserve in recent weeks. However, I won't be pivoting to lesser options in a very difficult matchup for the Chargers' passing attack against an elite Jets secondary that has allowed just a single touchdown to opposing receivers this season.

Our Rodrigo Villagomez is calling for a quality performance from tight end Donald Parham Jr. with his Chargers vs. Jets NFL player props, but I'm still looking elsewhere.

The Jets have surrendered a modest two rushing scores but a league-high 255 rushing yards to opposing quarterbacks this season and Chargers QB Justin Herbert has three rushing scores, including two in Week 4.

Herbert's projected for 0.2 rushing touchdowns on MNF with that number translating to odds of +400. We're getting a nice bonus via the +600 odds from Caesars as we look to end this week with a green checkmark.

Anytime touchdown scorer predictions: Week 9: Sunday

Vikings vs. Falcons anytime touchdown scorer prediction: Bijan Robinson, ATL, RB (+125 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ✖️

The Falcons, who're tied for first in the NFC South entering Week 9, begin a new chapter with Taylor Heinicke making his first start of the season on Sunday. They do so as 3.5-point home favorites against the Vikings.

Heinicke replaced Desmond Ridder in last week's loss to the Tennessee Titans but completed just 12 of 21 pass attempts for a single touchdown. He'll be without No. 1 receiver Drake London on Sunday. While I strongly view Heinicke as an upgrade over Ridder in the passing game, I'm pivoting to the Falcons run-heavy attack in this matchup as they're spotted 3.5 points.

Robinson scored his first rushing touchdown of the season in last week's loss, but he previously had two receiving scores. After being limited due to an illness in the Falcons' Week 7 win, he returned to play 74% of the offensive snaps last week. He's now projected for 0.5 touchdowns as either a rusher or receiver on Sunday.

So, thanks to DraftKings for this outlier +125 ticket. The 50% implied probability should translate to even-money (+100) odds. Take the extra quarter and run to the bank.

Our Mike Spector is on the visitors to cover the spread in his Vikings vs. Falcons prediction, but a close game would help Robinson's cause as the focal point of this Atlanta offense.

Giants vs. Raiders anytime touchdown scorer prediction: Davante Adams, LV, WR (+190 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ✖️

Raiders receiver Davante Adams stands to be the primary beneficiary of the team's decisions to fire head coach Josh McDaniels and appoint Antonio Pierce as the interim coach. I expect Pierce to lean heavily on the Raiders' best offensive player in his debut at the helm.

The Raiders, who already had a three-game losing skid this season, suffered back-to-back losses to the lowly Chicago Bears and the NFC North-leading Detroit Lions. After catching seven of 12 targets against the Bears, Adams had just one reception off of seven targets against Detroit last week. However, he remained the clear No. 1 receiver with a 96% snap share.

Adams is projected for 0.4 receiving scores Sunday afternoon. With the implied probability of 40% translating to +150 odds, we're getting excellent value from FanDuel's +190 odds offering. DraftKings and Caesars both offer the +150 ticket with BetMGM hanging market-low odds of -140 on an Adams anytime touchdown.

More adventurous bettors can follow Rodrigo Villagomez's first touchdown scorer predictions for Adams at +800 odds via FanDuel. With I don't mind making both plays with the anytime score priced at +190.

Anytime touchdown scorer predictions: Week 9: SNF

Bills vs. Bengals anytime touchdown scorer prediction: Dalton Kincaid, BUF, TE (+210 via Caesars) ⭐⭐⭐ ✖️

To the surprise of what should be no one, the 50.5-point betting total for the Sunday Night Football matchup between the Bills and Bengals is the highest Over/Under of the week. Two star-studded rosters with the boost of being the last game of the day will have the majority of bettors locked in on the Over.

While the Under could very well end up being the smart play given these narratives, points are sure to be scored and by both sides with the Bengals set as modest 2.5-point home favorites. These mid-season head-to-head matchups matter for playoff seeding and these sides are well aware of that.

Veteran Bills tight end Dawson Knox was placed on injured reserve last week, leaving rookie Dalton Kincaid atop a short positional depth chart. He played a season-high 84% of the snaps in Week 8 and caught his first touchdown of the season.

The expanded opportunity came at the right time for Kincaid, as he's had half a season to work his way into the offense. He caught 13 of 15 targets over the last two weeks to earn the trust of QB Josh Allen.

We're getting outlier odds of +210 via Caesars for a Kincaid anytime touchdown. DraftKings and BetRivers have the market-low odds of +190.

Anytime touchdown scorer predictions: Week 9: TNF

Titans vs. Steelers anytime touchdown scorer prediction: Treylon Burks, Titans, WR (+480 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ✖️

First-year quarterback Will Levis was the story of the Titans' Week 8 win over the Atlanta Falcons while throwing four touchdown passes during his NFL debut. Three of those scores went to veteran receiver DeAndre Hopkins (his first three of the season), and the other landed in the hands of Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, who caught just one of his three targets.

It was second-year Titans receiver Treylon Burks who ranked second among the team's wideouts with a 51% offensive snap share in Week 8. While he didn't catch either of his two targets, that game was in his first back from injury since Sept. 24. An extra week of health and a proper practice week with Levis should lead to him being better up to speed.

Hopkins will surely face the wrath of the Steelers' defense on Thursday, even while dealing with an injury of his own. And his anytime touchdown odds are as high as only +205 via DraftKings.

We're getting value with Burks, as he's projected for 0.2 touchdowns against the Steelers. That should equate to +400 odds, but we're receiving an outlier ticket from FanDuel with its +480 price.
