Chargers vs. Rams prediction & best bet
Rams -6.5 (-110 via BetMGM)
It's hard to comprehend just how bad the Chargers have been this season, relative to their expectations. The Chargers are the worst team in the league against the spread at 0-5-1.
Their nightmare campaign is almost entirely due to the league's worst offense, which ranks dead last in scoring and EPA/play. The Chargers' defense would have to really muddy up this game to keep it close, and I don't see that happening against a Rams offense that leads the NFL in yards per game.
The best sports betting sites are aligned on a 6.5-point spread, with BetMGM offering the top value at -110 odds. It would have to be plus-money odds for me to back L.A. at or through the key number of seven.

Justin Herbert leads the league in interceptions thrown with eight. He's turned the ball over at least once in every game this season.
Will Herbert and McDaniel have answers out of bye week?
Mike McDaniel's hire as Chargers offensive coordinator was supposed to transform a mediocre unit. Instead, his concepts have fallen flat and limited the Chargers' previous advantages with Justin Herbert.
Herbert ranks last in total EPA among all NFL QBs with at least 50 snaps. His Chargers have only scored 20 points once in 2026, and they won't here as the Rams win and cover the spread as Los Angeles' best squad.
