Patriots vs. Dolphins Prediction: Week 8 Odds, Picks & Best Bet (Nov. 1)
Last Updated: October 31, 2026 1:00 PM EDT • 3 minute read X Social Google News Link
My best Patriots vs. Dolphins prediction highlights why Drake Maye and the Patriots' passing attack will be too much for the Dolphins to overcome. The Dolphins picked up their first win of the season last week, but offensive inconsistencies and a weak secondary should give the Patriots an easy win.
The Patriots are favored by 7 points ahead of Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET game at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. The game will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+.

Patriots vs. Dolphins prediction & best bet
Patriots -7 (-105 via DraftKings)
Maye's early-season struggles have evaporated. After throwing one touchdown and six interceptions in his first three games, he's thrown 12 touchdowns and just two interceptions in his last four. He's averaged at least 10.4 yards per attempt in two of his last three games, and he's averaged 299.8 yards per game over the last four weeks.
The Dolphins rank 19th in passing yards allowed per game (227.5), but they rank 30th in yards allowed per attempt (7.8). They've also only intercepted two passes in their last five games, so it's unlikely the defense will take advantage of a quarterback with at least one interception in five of his seven games this season.
📡 SBR Edge: Dolphins struggle against third down
The Dolphins' defense has been terrible on third down this season. Opponents are converting 52.11% of their attempts, which is the second-highest percentage in the league. Meanwhile, the Patriots' defense ranks 10th in the league, allowing conversions on just 36.59% of attempts.
The Dolphins' rushing attack is set to struggle
The Dolphins are averaging 131.5 rushing yards per game, which ranks seventh in the NFL. Ollie Gordon II has filled in well for the injured De'Von Achane, rushing for at least 88 yards in three consecutive games and reaching 100 yards twice.
However, the Patriots rank eighth in rushing yards allowed per game (95.3), and based on those numbers, are the best unit Gordon will have started against thus far. The Patriots are allowing just 3.9 yards per carry, and over their last three contests, that number drops to 3.3. If the running game can't get going, the Dolphins have no chance, as they rank 30th in passing yards per game.
