It’s an NFC North clash with the Chicago Bears hosting the Minnesota Vikings in Week 6, and our top Vikings vs. Bears NFL player props are based on the NFL odds from our best sports betting apps. How will the Minny offense fare now that No. 1 wide receiver Justin Jefferson is on injured reserve?
The Minnesota Vikings entered the 2023 season with lofty expectations following their 13-win season. However, through five weeks, they're sporting a 1-4 record and will be without star wide receiver, Justin Jefferson, for the foreseeable future.
Minnesota draws the 1-4 Chicago Bears coming off of a convincing 40-20 victory over the Washington Commanders, and the Bears will look to build on their Week 5 victory with the Vikings down their star receiver.
To accompany our NFL predictions for Week 6 and NFL best bets for Week 6, here are our best Vikings vs. Bears NFL player props for Week 6 (odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).
Vikings vs. Bears NFL player props: Week 6
K.J. Osborn 60+ receiving yards (+225 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Everyone in the Vikings' receiving corps gets an instant promotion with Justin Jefferson out. So far this season, K.J. Osborn has been the fourth-most-targeted pass catcher in Minnesota. In total, he has 13 catches for 116 yards through five weeks for an average of 33.2 yards per game.
Osborn has failed to reach 60 receiving yards in a game this season. His highest output to date was his 49-yard performance against Kansas City last week.
Now, though, he becomes the WR2 in this pass-happy offense averaging 240 yards per game through the air. He and the Vikings take on a Chicago defense that is second-last in terms of passing yards allowed per game (286). This prop could get a boost, too, considering the health of Jordan Addison, who is listed as questionable for this game.

Longest touchdown Over 37.5 yards (-115 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Even with the loss of Justin Jefferson, the Vikings are stocked with deep threats. Already this season, Minnesota has scored three touchdowns from at least 38 yards. Surprisingly, Jefferson accounts for only one of them. Osborn himself had a touchdown that fell just two yards short of this mark against the Los Angeles Chargers. Defensively, the Vikings have surrendered three scores from outside of 38 yards.
The Bears finally broke into the win column last week against the Commanders. The exclamation point on that victory came by way of Chicago’s first explosive touchdown play of the season on D.J. Moore’s 56-yard score. They have yet to allow a team to score from more than this total this season. However, three opponents have come close with touchdowns of 32, 35, and 37.
Harrison Smith Over 5.5 tackles + assists (-110 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Despite playing at the safety position, Harrison Smith is a disruptive force all over the field. The veteran has logged 24 tackles over his last two games. In total, Smith has 38 combined tackles on the season. He has failed to cross this threshold only twice this year. Last season, Smith had nine games in which he logged at least six total tackles.
The Vikings are allowing the second-most completions per game (27.2) in the league. However, with Smith’s ability to move around the field, he will still be able to attack a Chicago offense that is averaging 26.8 rush attempts per game this season. Smith has played 18 games against the Bears in his career and has gone Over this mark in 10 of them. Overall, he is averaging 5.1 total tackles against Chicago.
