Commanders vs. Giants NFL Player Props, Odds: Picks & Predictions

We're looking at our best NFL player props for the Week 7 meeting between the Commanders and Giants.

The Washington Commanders visit the New York Giants in an NFC East matchup, and one of our top Commanders vs. Giants NFL player props for Week 7 centers on Washington wide receiver Curtis Samuel. We always shop for the best NFL odds from our best NFL prop betting sites.

The Washington Commanders ended a three-game losing streak by defeating the Atlanta Falcons 24-16 last week. Despite the Washington offense producing only 193 yards against the Falcons, Commanders quarterback Sam Howell managed to throw three touchdown passes.

The New York Giants came painstakingly close to upsetting the Buffalo Bills last week. The G-Men fell short by a single yard. Despite the absence of quarterback Daniel Jones (neck), the offense outgained the Bills 317-297. Giants running back Saquon Barkley carried the ball 24 times for 93 yards. While Jones is officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game, it’s unlikely he plays.

Commanders vs. Giants NFL player props: Week 7

Editor’s note: New York Giants quarterback isn’t expected to play in Week 7 because of his neck injury, according to ESPN senior NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler.

Saquon Barkley Over 63.5 rushing yards (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

After missing multiple weeks with an ankle injury, the Giants wasted no time in establishing that their offense runs through Barkley. His 24 carries were the most he’s had in any of his three games this season.

This week, the Giants will likely be without Jones again, which means Tyrod Taylor would start again at quarterback. Considering the Giants and Commanders are pretty evenly matched, we don’t see the Giants falling so far behind that Barkley is omitted from the game plan, even with Taylor under center.

When Barkley carries the ball, he racks up yardage. He’s averaging 3.9 yards per carry this season and has rushed for at least 50 yards in every game. The Commanders’ defense is definitely weaker against the pass than the run, but they still allow 129.0 rushing yards per game. With how this Giants' offense is set up, this number could be 70, and we’d still take the Over.

Curtis Samuel Over 3.5 receptions (+110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very quietly, Samuel has been the most consistent receiver for the Commanders. He hasn’t had any huge performances this season, which is likely why he’s not on the radar of very many bettors. However, he’s had at least four catches in four of his six games and has at least 40 receiving yards in five of his six games this year.

Samuel is tied for second on the team with 31 targets. What's most amazing is he’s caught 27 of those targets. That’s the second-most receptions on the team, and it shows that Samuel is getting good looks from Howell, not throwaways.

While it’s hard to know who will have the best day for the Commanders’ receiving corps, we do know Samuel will be in the mix for catches no matter where the offense is on the field.

Darius Slayton Over 30.5 receiving yards (-115 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐

Slayton is second on the Giants in receiving yards and targets. He averages 13.9 yards per reception but has at least 30 receiving yards in only two games.

Last week, he led the Giants in receiving yards, as he was targeted six times by Taylor. Those six targets were the third most on the team behind Wan’Dale Robinson and Darren Waller, but Slayton is getting meaningful targets that can produce much more yardage than the others.

While we’d take Robinson’s receptions before we’d take Slayton’s, Slayton is still the player in line to have the most receiving yards for this team. At 30.5 receiving yards, Slayton could clear this number on one play. After all, his longest reception last week was 31 yards.
