After a humiliating defeat on primetime television last Sunday, the New York Giants now face the Arizona Cardinals with their limited roster and rookie head coach, and we're here to share our top predictions for the Giants vs. Cardinals matchup based on the best NFL odds.

Opinions between these two teams may have swayed this week, after the New York Giants were blown out 40-0 at home against the Dallas Cowboys, while the Arizona Cardinals put forth a spirited road effort against the Washington Commanders.

But don’t let the Cardinals' performance deceive you. They were bad on offense. Their starting quarterback is Joshua Dobbs and despite completing 21 of 30 passes (70%), he threw for only 132 yards. Arizona didn’t score a single offensive touchdown.

Additionally, the Giants' defense should have no trouble against an Arizona offensive line that allowed two sacks and two forced fumbles last week; points might be scarce in this contest, but we can trust New York head coach Brian Daboll to outsmart his first-year counterpart, Arizona head coach Jonathan Gannon.

Here is our best Giants vs. Cardinals prediction to complement your NFL best bets for Week 2, NFL upset picks and NFL player props (odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Giants vs. Cardinals prediction

Giants -4 (-110 via DraftKings, bet365, BetMGM, Caesars) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Cardinals were 1-8 (.111) in home games last season, an NFL second-worst, ahead of the Houston Texans (0-7-1). Their eight home losses were a franchise single-season high, breaking the mark set in 2018 (1-7). The team has gotten worse. They traded away talent, quarterback Kyler Murray is still injured and Dobbs is their placeholder starter. The Washington Commanders gifted Arizona with turnovers last weekend.

Although Giants QB Daniel Jones did have two fumbles and two interceptions of his own against the Cowboys last week, they were up against an NFL top-two defense. Dallas generated pressure on 23 of the Giants’ 37 dropbacks.

Last season, Jones had a career-best 67.2% completion rate with a personal-low five regular-season interceptions. He'll want to return to that level of consistency in Glendale Sunday. Jones had a team-high 13 rushing attempts (for 43 yards) in Week 1.

But the Giants’ run game doesn’t have to rely on him. Running back Saquon Barkley had 607 rushing yards in road games last season, a league fourth most, behind Derrick Henry (905), Josh Jacobs (868) and Nick Chubb (727). What makes this even more impressive is he played only seven road matchups last year; each of the other three played nine.

Expect the Giants' D to feast on a weak Cardinals' O-line, and for New York to control the ball on the ground. Jones won’t have to throw much, as the Giants maintain possession and cover the spread.

Giants vs. Cardinals best odds

bet365, BetMGM, DraftKings, Caesars -110

DraftKingsFanDuelBetMGMCaesarsbet365
-4-4.5-4-4-4
-110-110-110-110-110

This line opened -4 on the NFL Week 2 odds but got as high as -5.5 on Tuesday. If this got to -6 or -6.5 I’d have strongly considered the Cardinals as home underdogs. However, -4 is a good number, and, as bad as the Giants looked Sunday night, they have superior coaching and a stronger roster to cover on the road.

DraftKings raised its odds from -112 to -110, in line with our best sports betting sites. Caesars had the line at -4.5 at the start of Friday but pushed it down to -4. That blowout win by the Cowboys worked in our favor.
