We're backing Cleveland running back Jerome Ford to have a big game against Pittsburgh with our Steelers vs. Browns prediction, based on the top NFL odds from our best NFL prop betting sites.

With backup quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson taking over for Deshaun Watson (who's out for the season), the Browns should lean heavily on the running game in Week 11 against the Steelers.

In what profiles as a gritty AFC North divisional battle, running back Jerome Ford should see an increased workload and additional touches as Cleveland attempts to control the ball.

Steelers vs. Browns prediction

Jerome Ford Over 55.5 rushing yards (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

While the Browns have been rolling out a backup running back for weeks following the season-ending injury to Nick Chubb, we find Browns running back Jerome Ford to be a more viable method of attack for Cleveland than leaning on Dorian Thompson-Robinson's (DTR) arm.

In his only start of the season on October 1, DTR threw for just 121 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions. With the pass rush the Steelers possess, there’s just no way to anticipate a robust afternoon throwing the football for the rookie quarterback. The Browns should be expected to run the ball with frequency in a matchup against a Steeler defense that has been generous against the run this season.

In most years, the reputation of the Pittsburgh defense relies upon a tough defense that stuffs the opposing run game. That hasn’t been the case this year, though, as the Steelers have allowed 131.2 rushing yards per game to their opponents, ranking 25th in the NFL in run defense.

With Cleveland’s decision to start DTR at quarterback instead of P.J. Walker, I’m anticipating a hefty workload for Ford and running back Kareem Hunt in a game that could come down to ball control between two lackluster offenses.

Most of our best sports betting apps list the Jerome Ford rushing line at 55.5 yards. DraftKings (-115) and Caesars (-121) have that line with lesser odds value on a Over wager. FanDuel provides odds at -114 on the Over. bet365 offers the best value on the odds at -110 on an Over bet.

Avoid BetMGM for this wager, as their line on Ford’s rushing yards at 56.5 is less favorable than at our other best sportsbooks.
