Mike Spector’s pick: Commanders -5.5
Something has to give in this matchup, as Philadelphia hasn’t started 2-6 since 1999, while Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is in an eight-game winless streak, tied for the third-longest by any quarterback in Commanders history.
A lot has changed since Philadelphia’s narrow 24-22 victory over Washington in Week 1. Jalen Hurts threw for 3+ passing touchdowns in his 13th career game, and the Eagles' offensive line ranked in the top 10 for the week in both pass-block and run-block win rates.
Hurts is now out for the year; offensive tackle Lane Johnson has retired, and the Eagles could again be without their top receiving option, DeVonta Smith. But the Eagles' defense has been the bigger concern lately. They’re coming off a game against Dallas where they allowed a season-high 416 yards, generated zero sacks, quarterback hits, or tackles for loss, and totaled just seven quarterback pressures.

Phil Wood’s pick: Dallas Goedert anytime touchdown
The Commanders have allowed 15 passing touchdowns this season, tied for the fourth-most in the league. Eight of those passes have been to tight ends. Only the Lions have allowed more touchdown receptions to the position.
In Week 1, Goedert hauled in four passes for 77 yards and two touchdowns against the Commanders. Although he hasn't scored since then, McKee has been his favorite target. Over the last two weeks, he's caught 11 of his 15 targets for 109 yards. He has at least five receptions in each of those contests.

Mike Spector’s pick: Jayden Daniels Over 28.5 passing attempts
Many believe Washington’s offense may be very run-heavy in the short term as it adjusts to life without No. 1 wide receiver Terry McLaurin (out for the season with a torn patellar tendon). But Philadelphia is coming off its worst defensive performance in over two seasons under defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, and the Eagles’ lack of a pass rush should lead to a more aggressive game plan.
The Eagles allowed a season-high 416 yards last week, while generating zero sacks, quarterback hits, or tackles for loss, and logging just seven quarterback pressures.

Phil Wood's pick: Rachaad White 2+ touchdowns
With Jacory Croskey-Merritt on IR, Rachaad White should see opportunities against an Eagles defense that has allowed nine rushing touchdowns. That's tied for the fourth-most in the league.
White hasn't recorded more than eight carries in a game this season, but he's been effective in the passing game, catching 14 of his 15 targets and scoring two touchdowns through the air. He should get chances close to the end zone, as the Commanders scored two one-yard touchdowns in their Week 1 loss to the Eagles.
