Several of the biggest stars in this Week 8 Sunday Night Football matchup (Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, and Terry McLaurin) have already been ruled out or are nursing injuries this week, so my Eagles vs. Commanders player props look to take advantage of lines on less heralded players.

Among my top three plays are an expectation that Jayden Daniels will have a big passing volume game, while I find value in an Eagles anytime touchdown scorer.

Kickoff from Northwest Stadium in Landover, Md. is set for 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC). Washington is a 6-point betting favorite.

Eagles vs. Commanders best prop bet: Jayden Daniels Over 28.5 pass attempts (-110)

Follow all of our NFL analysis and betting advice for the 2026 NFL season.

Many believe Washington’s offense may be very run-heavy in the short term as it adjusts to life without No. 1 wide receiver Terry McLaurin (out for the season with a torn patellar tendon). But Philadelphia is coming off its worst defensive performance in over two seasons under defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, and the Eagles’ lack of a pass rush should lead to a more aggressive game plan.

The Eagles allowed a season-high 416 yards last week, while generating zero sacks, quarterback hits, or tackles for loss, and logging just seven quarterback pressures.

📡 SBR Edge - Washington to control time of possession?

There's a great chance that the Commanders finish the game with a big advantage in time of possession. Philadelphia's offense has gone three-and-out on 37% of its drives, which is the highest rate through seven games since 2009.

More Eagles vs. Commanders prop picks

Dallas Goedert anytime touchdown scorer (+250)

The Eagles have the lowest average of 20-plus yards per game. And against a Washington pass rush that blitzes at the second-highest rate, backup quarterback Tanner McKee will likely be looking for checkdowns or short targets to his running backs and tight ends often.

Goedert has seemed to benefit from Jalen Hurts’ absence, as he has seen a total of 15 targets (eight and seven) in the two games McKee started. In those games, Goedert has been targeted on 21.6% and 29.2% of his routes, and the Commanders allow a league-worst touchdown rate to tight ends.

Stefon Diggs Over 4.5 receptions (+132)

Stefon Diggs lets his voice be heard when he feels he isn’t seeing enough targets, and this is his first opportunity to prove worthy of the team’s No. 1 wide receiver moniker in Terry McLaurin’s absence.

In Week 1 against the Eagles, Diggs logged a 4/55/1 stat line. Some would argue those were disappointing numbers after seeing a team-high nine targets, while being the only Commanders player to see more than four targets. But Washington clearly thought it had an exploitable matchup, and Philadelphia has allowed the most receptions per game to slot receivers (5.7).
