We're less than a week away from the first Monday Night Football matchup of the season between the San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets - two of the top teams by the latest Super Bowl odds.

Entering Week 1, the 49ers are favored by 3.5 points to beat the Jets, who were catching nearly a touchdown by the opening Monday Night Football odds before heavy action on Gang Green.

I get the hype around New York, which should finally have its chance at a Super Bowl run with a healthy Rodgers.

What I don't get is how the market views the Jets as virtually even with the 49ers on a neutral field. Williams' absence is a concern, though fellow holdout Brandon Aiyuk is back with the rest of this star-studded core that tore through the league last year.

If Williams doesn't suit up, I might lean toward the Under over anything else, but I'll hold off on buying into Gang Green mania until we see some actual results on the field.
