Last updated: October 12, 2024 12:12 PM EDT • 5 min read X Social Google News Link

The New York Giants look to get to .500 as they host the 1-4 Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday Night Football. It's early in the season, but this is a big game for both squads.
The latest Sunday Night Football odds have the 1-4 Bengals favored on the road over the Giants. It’s strange to see a road team with a losing record favored. How will these unusual odds impact this week's best Bengals vs. Giants SNF prop bets?
As part of our Week 6 NFL predictions, we look at whether Bengals QB Joe Burrow will have similar success against the Giants' secondary after having a massive 392-yard game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Meanwhile, Malik Nabers is set to miss his second game in a row. Though the Bengals have a solid pass defense, this could be huge for Darius Slayton. And finally, which player is most likely to score in this contest?
We also dive further into this matchup in our Bengals vs. Giants prediction.

Joe Burrow Under 263.5 passing yards (-110) ⭐⭐⭐
Burrow exploded last week for 392 yards and five touchdowns in one of the season's most entertaining games. That brought his average to 274 passing yards per game, and he’s now thrown for at least 300 yards twice. So why is this total so low?
The Giants have quietly had one of the better secondaries in the league this season. They’re allowing just 200.6 passing yards per game, and they’ve faced Jayden Daniels, Geno Smith, Dak Prescott, and Sam Darnold. Their stats aren’t inflated by facing bad opponents - they’re earned.
This feels like a trap. Burrow’s performance last week was incredible, and it’s fresh in bettor’s minds. This number could have easily been set at Burrow’s season average. Yet, some of our best sports betting apps have this total set at 259.5. In a deceptively bad matchup, look for Burrow to struggle.

Darius Slayton Over 48.5 receiving yards (-110) ⭐⭐⭐
With Nabers out, Slayton is in line for another huge game. Last week, he caught eight passes for 122 yards and a touchdown while being targeted a season-high 11 times.
Slayton wasn’t great before last week, but he had been useful to the offense. In Week 4, he had three catches for 56 yards, and he’s gone for at least 33 yards in three of his five games this season.
Even though Slayton is the clear top target, this is only a three-star play because the Bengals’ defense allows just over 214 passing yards per game. They may be able to shut down the Giants’ offense without a playmaker like Nabers. That said, Slayton shouldn’t be faded in this spot.
Best odds: -110 via bet365 | Implied probability: 52.38%
Chase Brown to score a touchdown (+140) ⭐⭐⭐
The Bengals allow 29.0 points per game, but the Giants’ are only averaging 17.8 points, and they’ve settled for 11 field goals this season. Even though the Giants’ offense has a great matchup, the best touchdown-scoring prop for this game belongs to Bengals running back Brown.
Though Brown has received fewer carries than backfield mate Zack Moss this season, he’s proven to be the more successful back thus far. He’s averaging 5.6 yards per carry, and he’s either outcarried or received the same amount of touches as Moss over the last two weeks. Brown has also caught 10 passes and one touchdown this season.
DraftKings has the price at +105, implying a nearly 50% chance that Brown scores. FanDuel has the price at +110. Caesars is seeing something other sportsbooks aren’t: take advantage of the discrepancy.
Best odds: +140 via Caesars | Implied probability: 41.67%
