Can Washington upset the struggling Raiders on the road this Sunday? Read on for our Washington-Raiders picks and predictions.

The Washington Football Team's hopes in 2021 seemed to crumble when Ryan Fitzpatrick went down with an injury. But they remain relevant in the NFC East due to a few upset wins, and the team's easier schedule ahead.

Washington (3-7 against the spread) faces the Las Vegas Raiders this week. The Raiders (4-6 ATS) have struggled amid off-field distractions, but they're coming off a win over the Dallas Cowboys. Can they carry that momentum into this game at home?

Here are my Washington-Raiders picks and predictions for the NFL's Week 13 matchup (odds via FanDuel, and pick confidence is based on a one-to-five scale).

Washington vs. Raiders Odds Analysis

The spread opened at Las Vegas -2.5, and it's remained steady in every sportsbook. However, FanDuel has put Washington at -105 instead of -110, leading to a bit more value.

The total opened at 49.5 and has also been consistent all week. Any potential value depends more on the play itself than how betting has shifted the line.

Washington vs. Raiders Predictions

Washington +2.5 (-105)

Washington’s defensive front hasn’t lived up to the hype this year, but the team still boasts plenty of talent to dominate the trenches. The Raiders will be looking to win through their run game, which will allow Washington to dictate the pace.

Taylor Heinicke has been a stable quarterback for a Washington offense that's getting healthier. He won’t take a game over, but he’s good enough to win if everything around him goes well.

Elsewhere, Terry McLaurin should torch the Raiders' secondary. He’s a matchup nightmare, and McLaurin could produce one of his best performances in this contest. The Raiders have been terrible against the run while allowing 125.9 yards per game, so McLaurin will surely be targeted on play-action passes.

Washington has the talent and matchup advantages to keep this clash close and potentially win outright.

Under 49.5 (-110)

This is a low total, which makes betting the Under unappealing. But that's where the value is in this game, and it's hard to envision either offense popping off and scoring a lot.

If either team struggles to reach the end zone consistently, the Under will hit. Neither squad is projected to score 35-plus points alone, so to get Over this total a 28-24 type of game will need to emerge. It's more likely an ugly game takes place, with one team scoring little.

This contest will be a slugfest that leaves both fan bases wanting more points. Expect the Raiders to win a low-scoring game.
