My NFL best bets for Week 8 look for more consistency after back-to-back 2-2 weeks. This week’s five-pack of wagers include taking on one of the best statistical defense of the last 20 seasons with a Jared Goff player prop, and a three-leg moneyline parlay that offers a great return when taking into account overwhelming historical trends.

Browns +3.5 (-110 via DraftKings)
Underdogs in division games have covered the spread 70% of the time this season (23-10). That makes this a confident play on the Browns at anything more than a field goal, as they face a Steelers team coming off a long trip back from Paris.
There is no denying Pittsburgh’s recent surge, as it has averaged 25.3 offensive points per game, 121.3 rushing yards per game, converted 45% of third downs, and logged a plus-7.8 Offensive EPA over the last three weeks. But Cleveland is off to its best seven-game start since 2020, the Steelers have converted less than half of their red zone trips into touchdowns (27th).
Play to: +3.5 (-120)

Jaguars/Bengals/Commanders ML parlay (+108 via DraftKings)
The Jaguars have won 10 straight games against the Colts in Jacksonville, while Indianapolis is 3-9 on the road since the start of last season, and 2-12 in its last 14 overall. The Colts have already started a firesale with trading Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner this week.
Cincinnati’s 4-2 record is its best six-game start since 2021, the year it last made the Super Bowl. It faces Tennessee and quarterback Cam Ward, who is 4-20 in 24 career starts. That’s tied with the second fewest starts to 20 career losses among quarterbacks to debut since 1950.
Adding Washington as a third leg pushes this to a plus-money parlay. Nick Sirianni’s Eagles have closed as more than a field goal underdog 11 times in his tenure and have won just one of those games.
Play to: +100

Best NFL player props for Week 8
Jared Goff Under 0.5 interceptions (-123 via DraftKings)
Minnesota has turned in the best defensive efficiency since 2006, and its 70% blitz rate is the highest of any team since 2006. But Jared Goff has carved up the blitz in a variety of ways this season.
When facing blitzes this season, Goff ranks fifth in passing yards, tied for fourth in passing touchdowns, second in passer rating, third in completion percentage, and fifth in yards per attempts. He has a 5-to-4 touchdown-to-interception ratio against the Vikings blitz since 2023, but I’ll take my chances at these odds that this is not the game he throws his first interception of the year.

Jacoby Brissett Over 1.5 passing touchdowns (-135 via bet365)
The Cardinals-Cowboys O/U has skyrocketed from 48.5 to 54.5, while Dallas has been bet down from 10.5-point favorites to -6.5. Both of those line movements suggest Arizona should be in for a great day offensively, led by its quarterback who has a league-high 282 pass attempts.
Dallas has allowed the eighth most passing touchdowns to quarterbacks. It is also a bottom-six defense in percentage of opponents’ drives that end in points.
Brissett is as high as -186 (65.03% implied odds) at FanDuel to throw for two or more touchdowns, so these odds at bet365 are of great value.

Rhamondre Stevenson first half anytime touchdown scorer (+200 via FanDuel)
Rhamondre Stevenson’s -140 price to score an anytime touchdown (58.33% implied odds) are a little too steep for my liking, so I’m opting for better value by banking on him scoring in the first half.
Stevenson is a versatile back who offers a high ceiling for receiving yards, as he has seen 24 targets out of the backfield. Meanwhile, the Dolphins rank in the top 10 in most catches and receiving yards allowed to running backs and have also allowed the most receiving touchdowns to the position.
New England has a great chance to score early and often, as it ranks third in points per drive over the last four weeks.
