The Tennessee Titans earned the coveted No. 1 seed in the AFC and the only bye in the newly formatted NFL playoffs last year. However, they could not cash in on such an advantage, losing to the Cincinnati Bengals 19-16 in the Divisional Round. Check out the Titans' futures odds, picks, and preview for the upcoming season.

The Titans have won consecutive AFC South division titles on the strength of 23 wins over the last two seasons. Tennessee has now won at least nine games in head coach Mike Vrabel's first four seasons on the job, as his team plays with a toughness and physicality often unmatched by its opponents. But can the Titans match their regular-season success and make a deeper playoff run this season?

Below, we preview the 2022 season for the Tennessee Titans with a look at their futures odds and make our top picks (odds via FanDuel SportsbookDraftKings SportsbookBetMGM).

Titans to have a winning record (-120)

The Titans have been models of consistency over the last several seasons, as they are one of two NFL teams (along with the Kansas City Chiefs) to win at least nine games in each season since 2016. Matching that nine-win total again this season would be a winner for this bet, but backing their Over of 9.5 wins at FanDuel (+115) or BetMGM (+120) at plus odds is a better value for bettors who think Tennessee could win 10 or more games. However, we will take the added cushion with their "winning record" wager at DraftKings in case the Titans finish 9-8.

Titans to lose in wild-card round (+275)

If the Titans were to finish with a winning record, they would likely be a playoff team, especially since they play in arguably the weakest division in the AFC. Tennessee has opportunities to fatten its record with four games against the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans, and four games against one of the NFC's weakest divisions, the East, as crossover opponents.

However, once they get to the playoffs, we would expect the Titans to be underdogs against the upper-echelon teams like Buffalo, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Kansas City, or Cincinnati. It is also not likely that the Titans would earn a home playoff game, but they have shown they are prone to upsets at home in the playoffs if they do.

Colts 1st/Titans 2nd in AFC South (+175)

The Titans impressively won 12 games last year despite running back Derrick Henry missing nine games with a fractured right foot. However, not much of that credit could be given to quarterback Ryan Tannehill. His -16.7 decline in total QBR from 2020 to 2021 was the fourth-highest among quarterbacks with a minimum of 200 pass attempts in both seasons.

Indianapolis upgraded at quarterback, moving on from Carson Wentz and adding Matt Ryan. The team also acquired Yannick Ngakoue, who had 10 sacks last year, and signed former DPOY Stephon Gilmore to solidify its secondary. The Titans will be competitive, but the Colts will win the division.

Henry Over 1,350.5 rushing yards (-112)

Henry's statistics in just eight games last year would be considered a good season for many NFL running backs. Henry totaled 937 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns in those eight games, and his 117.1 rushing yards per game were 11 more than the next-best running back's at the time of his injury. He has an NFL-best 126.7 rushing yards per game since 2019 and should crush this projected 1350.5 yardage total as he appears fully recovered from last year's injury.
