Saquon Barkley is coming off one of the best rushing performances in NFL history last week and looks to continue that momentum in a Week 13 road matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

Barkley has scored multiple touchdowns in back-to-back games and three of the previous four. And while Jalen Hurts steals a lot of the short-yardage red-zone carries, Barkley showed off his versatility and home run ability last week.

Barkley became the first player since Maurice Jones-Drew in 2009 with two rushing touchdowns of 70 or more yards in one game.

He has 12 total touchdowns this season, which is why his odds to be an anytime touchdown scorer are juiced as low as -185 at Caesars.

With the unlikelihood that he scores multiple touchdowns once again, I am bypassing those odds in favor of him finding the end zone in the second half. Each of Barkley’s last four touchdowns was after halftime.

Barkley has 1,392 rushing yards, and is on pace for 2,151 rushing yards. That is significant because Eric Dickerson set the single-season rushing record with 2,105 rushing yards in 1984.

Barkley was often injured in his career with the New York Giants. Thus, he is unlikely to be able to sustain the recent workload that has seen him run 26 or more times in three of the last four weeks.

In case Barkley goes off once again, this play acts as a hedge of sorts against the Under on his rushing yards total.

Barkley’s 149.9 scrimmage yards per game average is the highest since Le’Veon Bell in 2016. In addition, his 500 scrimmage yards over the last two weeks are the most in a two-game span since Walter Payton in 1977.

Barkley has seen three or more targets in seven of 11 games this season, and I expect Philadelphia will utilize him a lot in the passing game if the Ravens stack the box to take away the run.
