The Eagles are now 7-7 straight up for the season after rattling off back-to-back wins against the New York Jets and Washington. They are now the No. 8 team in the NFC playoff picture entering Week 16 and they need to keep winning in order to muscle their way into a wild-card berth.
The Giants should prove to be obliging opponents. They are on a three-game losing streak and are now 4-10 for the season. The Eagles are now 7-6-1 against the spread for the season, whereas the Giants are 6-8.

The best line you can get on the Eagles -9.5 is -110, but FoxBet is offering -118 on the Eagles -9 if you want to play it a little more cautiously.
FanDuel has a market-leading -430 on the Eagles to win on the moneyline, while PointsBet has a best price of +375 on the Giants. The Eagles opened as 10-point or 10.5-point favorites with most sportsbooks, so the ability to bet on Philadelphia -9.5 is tempting. It is clearly a large spread, especially when you consider that the Giants beat the Eagles 13-7 as recently as Week 12. However, much has changed since then.
The Giants have lost all three subsequent games - by 11 points to the Miami Dolphins, 16 points to the Los Angeles Chargers, and 15 points to the Dallas Cowboys - and they have no chance of reaching the playoffs. They will be without their best receiver, as Sterling Shepard is finished for the season, and quarterback Daniel Jones is also out for the year with a neck injury.
The Eagles are in the thick of the playoff race, they are relatively healthy and they will be motivated to avenge that disappointing Week 12 defeat. They are at home and they have enough quality and momentum to cover.
Over 40.5 (-110)
The Eagles have been involved in two entertaining games since losing to the Giants in Week 12. They beat the Jets 33-18 and then picked up a 27-17 win against Washington. They are now averaging just over 26 points per game this season, but their defense has not looked particularly solid.
The Giants' offense is a mess right now, but they could still have some joy against a Philly defense that allows 22 points per game.
The total points line reflects the low-scoring clash between these teams in Week 12, but it is 6.9 below the average seen in Eagles games this year and 5.1 below the average total in Giants games, so Over looks like a tempting play.
