Denver's three-game winning streak was snapped in its first home loss to the Los Angeles Chargers since 2018. But the Broncos showed a lot of heart in the second half, scoring 16 unanswered points after trailing 23-0 in the fourth quarter. 

Meanwhile, Rattler’s first NFL start did not go well at all, as the Saints were drubbed 51-27 by the rival Buccaneers. The 51 points were New Orleans’ most allowed since 2012 and its most yards allowed (594) since 2004.

• Broncos best odds: -102 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 50.50%

For all intents and purposes, this is considered a coin-flip game given that most of our top sports betting sites are close to DraftKings’ essentially pick’em -110 odds on both sides of the moneyline.

New Orleans has the scheduling advantage of being home for a second consecutive week, but it is 0-4 after a 2-0 start. Since its last two losses have been by a combined 37 points, it would not be surprising to see this line jump the fence and have Denver as the road favorite at our best sports betting apps by kickoff.

Spread

• Broncos best odds: +1.5 (-115) via FanDuel

The sites with the best sportsbook promos had the Saints as either -1 or -1.5 on Sunday night, but DraftKings was the first sportsbook where the line jumped the fence and tilted towards the Broncos as favorites within the first few hours of the line being released.

It is uncommon for games to kick off with both teams being favored at various sportsbooks, so I expect the betting momentum on Denver to pick up across the board. If you think the Broncos will win on Thursday night, it is best to back them now.

Over/Under

• Over best odds: 36.5 (-110) via BetMGM
• Under best odds: 37.5 (-110) via DraftKings

FanDuel is the only site aligned with DraftKings on the high end of the total at 37.5, but there the Under is juiced to -115. That suggests they are likely to lower their total to align with the rest of their competitors at 37 at some point, as we've seen in our Week 7 odds. Sharp bettors will likely recognize that Bo Nix and the Broncos' offense does not have as much firepower as Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers squad that just ran all over the Saints.
