The Los Angeles Chargers welcome the Chicago Bears to SoFi Stadium for a Sunday Night Football clash between a pair of two-win teams, and our top Bears vs. Chargers parlay predictions are expecting Chicago to keep the nightcap close. The Chicago Bears (2-5) and Los Angeles Chargers (2-4) have both only won two games and are arguably heading in the opposite direction. Chicago has won two of its past three games, while Los Angeles has dropped two straight.

SGP predictions for Bears vs. Chargers

Tyson Bagent Over 198.5 passing yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent has made just one NFL start but it came in a solid win over the Las Vegas Raiders, in which he managed the game to expectations. Bagent’s role in last week’s contest didn’t require much of him; he threw for only 162 yards as the Bears won by multiple scores.

Facing a Chargers offense that should be more capable than what the Raiders', Bagent should be asked to do a little more in this game. But with a Los Angeles defense on the other side that has allowed more passing yards per game (310.0) than any other team in the NFL this season, there’s no reason to suspect that Bagent can’t deliver.

FanDuel lists the Bagent passing total at 193.5 while DraftKings has it at 198.5. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the numbers increase at both books throughout the day, but we’re confident in Bagent clearing the line up to 211.5 yards.

Roschon Johnson Over 30.5 rushing yards (-110) ⭐⭐⭐

As virtually the last man standing in the Chicago backfield, D’Onta Foreman led the Bears in last week’s win over the Raiders, racking up 120 total yards and three touchdowns. Though I expect the Chicago coaching staff to stay with Foreman in a prominent role on Sunday night as a reward for that impressive effort, I don’t think the veteran running back will garner the whole pie as it pertains to the rushing workload.

Dynamic rookie runner Roschon Johnson is expected to return to action following multiple missed weeks away for a concussion. While his role is likely complementary to Foreman in his first week off of injury, it’s not impossible that Johnson flashes in limited opportunity en route to a backfield takeover sooner rather than later.

The Chargers rank 10th in the league in run defense, but there’s room for Bagent and Johnson to both hit on these watered-down totals. DraftKings puts the line at 30.5 yards while FanDuel lifts the Johnson rushing total at 31.5 yards.

Bears +9.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐

While the Chargers carry loftier expectations for their season than the Bears, we should acknowledge where both teams are at this point: just two wins and outside of sniffing distance of a postseason berth.

The Los Angeles offense has been a disappointment to this point in the year under new OC Kellen Moore, with the Chargers scoring just 17 points in each of the last two weeks. The Bears, meanwhile, are showing a little life defensively by holding their last three opponents to 20 points or less. These trends just don’t suggest to me a double-digit blowout for a Bears team playing with pride lately.

Though FanDuel has a better line on Bagent passing yards, its +427 overall parlay odds aren’t nearly as favorable as the +470 odds we get on our SGP at DraftKings.
