Spurs vs. Suns NBA Player Props, Odds: Wemby and Spurs Look for Second Straight Win

Check out our top NBA player props for Thursday's matchup between the Spurs and Suns based on the best odds.

The Phoenix Suns are trying to bounce back from a heartbreaking defeat to the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday in Thursday's rematch, and our Spurs vs. Suns NBA player props are based on the best NBA odds.

Victor Wembanyama and Kevin Durant face off again Thursday after a thrilling matchup Tuesday. Down 18 at halftime Tuesday, the San Antonio Spurs rallied with a monster second half to snatch a 115-114 victory from the jaws of defeat against the Phoenix Suns. The shorthanded Suns fell to 2-2, while the up-and-coming Spurs improved to the same.

Phoenix will be without Bradley Beal and may also be missing Devin Booker, leaving them short-handed. In contrast, there are no players listed on the San Antonio Spurs' injury report for the Thursday rematch. The young and energetic Spurs aim to secure a second consecutive win in Phoenix, which would also put them above .500 for the first time this season.

To accompany our NBA best bets for Thursday, here are our best Spurs vs. Suns NBA player props and NBA picks (odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Spurs vs. Suns NBA player props

Keldon Johnson Over 26.5 points + rebounds + assists (-104 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Johnson’s season-best 27 points Tuesday were enough to cash this prop on their own, and he’s scored at least 20 in two of his last three games. On the season, Johnson is averaging 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.0 assists, good for 26.6 PRAs. He’s piled up at least 27 PRAs in three of four games, thanks to strong showings in the assists department.

There’s no doubt about it. When Keldon Johnson takes the court, he’s going to shoot. Johnson has never met a shot he didn’t like, and he’ll surely be out there firing away Thursday as the Spurs look to nab a second straight victory on the road against the Suns. As a primary scoring option who can rebound and facilitate effectively, Johnson should be able to push past this PRA line for the fourth time in five games.

Kevin Durant Over 5.5 assists (+125 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This prop is being offered at -104 on FanDuel, but bet365 has it at these phenomenal +125 odds, so we’ll gladly take advantage. Bradley Beal has been ruled out of Thursday’s game with a lingering back injury, and he hasn’t made his season debut for Phoenix yet. Devin Booker has missed the last three games with a toe injury, and he’s questionable.

If Booker sits, this is going to be easy money. In each of the last two games, Durant has handed out seven dimes, operating not only as the team’s primary scoring option but taking on more responsibility as a playmaker as well. Following Chris Paul’s trade out of Phoenix, the team opened the season without a true point guard. Eric Gordon is a score-first two, and Jordan Goodwin isn’t a talented playmaker.

Over the last 10 seasons, Durant has averaged 5.3 assists, so this wager certainly isn’t finished even if Booker takes the court. We’ll bank on Durant’s ability to get teammates involved and take the over at plus-money.

Victor Wembanyama Over 3.5 blocks + steals (+130 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wemby has already established himself as a force to be reckoned with on defense just four games into his rookie season. On the season, he’s averaging 1.3 steals and 2.3 blocks, good for 3.6 blocks+ steals per contest. He’s posted at least four Blocks+Steals in two of four games, including Tuesday’s matchup with the Suns.

Wembanyama didn’t record a steal Tuesday, but he swatted a career-best four shots in the come-from-behind victory. With Beal out and Booker questionable, Phoenix’s offensive weapons are quite limited behind Durant. Playing against fewer talented options should create more defensive opportunities for him in this one.

Even better for his chances of cashing this one are Phoenix’s defensive numbers. On the season, the Suns allow opponents to block 6.8 shots per game, the fourth most.  Phoenix also allows 10.3 steals to opponents, good for third most. Wemby’s blocks + steals average is just above the line for this prop, and he’s in a great position to eclipse it in tonight’s rematch.
