Are you betting on Immanuel Quickley or Malcolm Brogdon to win NBA Sixth Man of the Year? Read on for our breakdown of the Sixth Man of the Year odds.

Some may say this is a two-man race between Boston Celtics guard Malcolm Brogdon and New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley, but I would like to argue that Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis still has a chance. This has nothing to do with my +5000 futures wager on Portis from earlier in the season, well maybe a little bit.

Following Quickley's rise to the top of the NBA Sixth Man of the Year odds board, we take a closer look at the updated odds.

NBA Sixth Man of the Year odds movement

Over the past several weeks, this market has seen a tremendous amount of movement, as Quickley is now the consensus favorite to win the award, when Brogdon was trading as the favorite a few weeks ago.

NBA Sixth Man of the Year odds 2023: Favorite

Immanuel Quickley (-295 via DraftKings)

Quickley started the season as a +3500 long shot to win the Sixth Man of the Year award, and he was still available for plus money just a few weeks ago. Currently, the best you can do for Quickley is a -295 via DraftKings.

As Quickley has stuffed the stat sheet for the New York Knicks in the absence of Jalen Brunson, the narrative is hot with Quickley, but I question whether he can win the vote. The player efficiency ratings of Brogdon and Portis are higher than Quickley's on the season, and in my opinion, they represent a better bet at the current odds.

NBA Sixth Man of the Year odds 2023: Contenders

Malcolm Brogdon (+260 via FanDuel)

With Quickley starting 17 games and Portis starting 20, Brogdon embodies a more accurate representation of what this award is intended to honor. Brogdon has played in 63 games for the Celtics this season and has started none of them.

Brogdon is indeed the Celtics' sixth man, while some of the best performances of Quickley and Portis have occurred when Giannis Antetokounmpo or Brunson have been injured and they've been given the start.

The odds on Brogdon to win the award were -200 at the beginning of March, and he's now available at +260, so now might be the time to grab him. Especially if you've got a nice plus money ticket for Quickley to win.

NBA Sixth Man of the Year odds 2023: Long shots

Bobby Portis (+4600 via DraftKings)

Portis' odds of winning the Sixth Man of the Year award have been on a roller coaster ride of late. In the last month, we have seen Portis move from +8000 to +1600 and lengthen back up to +4600, where he's currently trading.

If the Bucks finish with the best record in the NBA, they cannot be shut out on award night, and this is an easy way to recognize the Bucks, along with Lopez for Defensive Player of the Year.

I have a bet on Portis at +5000 via DraftKings, and if I didn't already have that bet, I would bet on this at +4600.

Portis has been coming off the bench and averaging nearly a double-double, putting in 13.8 points and 9.5 rebounds per game in 26 minutes of court time.
