But Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns will host Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs at Footprint Center once again on Thursday. The Spurs and Suns just played each other in the Valley on Tuesday, and San Antonio led for only two seconds the entire contest while winning at the buzzer.
I was excited about the rematch and interested to see how the market would react to two teams facing off in the same building just two days later. But there's another curveball coming our way in this one. Devin Booker has been upgraded to questionable and could play on Thursday.

Thursday’s NBA player props
Jalen Suggs Over 2.5 assists vs. Jazz (+155 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This prop is very interesting because if Suggs was the primary ball-handler in the Magic's offense, the total would be trading much higher than 2.5. The reason it's so low is not because Suggs isn't capable of generating offense and dropping dimes. Instead, Markelle Fultz is on the ball a lot more than Suggs. The latter has been asked to be a 3-point shooting threat in the corner and play defense.
The key for this contest against the Jazz on Thursday is that the Magic will need Suggs' defensive presence more than ever because of Jordan Clarkson. He's one of those players the opposition absolutely cannot let go off, and trying to limit him should help Suggs get increased minutes. Also, the Jazz rank near the bottom in team defensive rating.
Suggs is forecasted to register 2.8 assists on Thursday against the Jazz, allowing us to price the Over on 2.5 assists at -109. The +155 price point we're being offered on Over 2.5 assists for Suggs is absolutely nuts.
Yes, his role doesn't put him on the ball as much. But Suggs shouldn't be trading at +155 for a total of 2.5 assists against the Jazz, which forced me to hit the button.

Paolo Banchero Over 16.5 points vs. Jazz (-104 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Banchero has gone Under his points total in all four games the Magic have played in 2023-24, leading to a significant adjustment. He was trading with a total of 21.5 points prior to the opening game of the season, but for Thursday that's dropped all the way down to 16.5.
That adjustment is eye-catching for Banchero because he's still the focal point of the Magic's offense. And a matchup with the Jazz offers a great opportunity for bettors on Thursday to capitalize on the shift in his total.
The Jazz rank near the bottom in team defensive rating in the NBA, and the Magic will be able to pull Walker Kessler, Utah's best defender, out to the 3-point line due to the shooting abilities of Franz Wagner, Wendell Carter Jr., and Banchero. Driving lanes and shots at the rim will open up for Banchero if the Magic can get Kessler out of the paint.
Banchero is projected to score 18.9 points on Thursday, showing how the projections have also been adjusting to his poor performances to start the season. But the adjustments to the total have been more drastic. We can take advantage, as the Over on 16.5 points can be priced at -158 based on this projection, but we're able to buy it at -104 via FanDuel.
You'll want to place this bet at FanDuel, as the -104 is a rogue price. Most of our other best sports betting apps are setting the juice at -115 or shorter for Banchero to go Over the total, and BetRivers is much shorter at -130.
