Sunday Night Football features a matchup between the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys and Dak Prescott takes the spotlight in our trending player prop picks, utilizing the top NFL odds from our best NFL betting sites.

Dak Prescott is slated to play against the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football, and the prime-time spotlight is generating considerable interest in his player props; notably, it's not centered around him throwing interceptions. Conversely, Daniel Jones hasn't captured much attention from bettors, as they are concentrating their focus on Prescott instead.

In fact, Prescott is receiving more bets on his player props than any other player in Week 1 of the NFL season, and the margin isn't particularly close. We'll witness even more action on Prescott's props as Sunday Night Football approaches, with bettors having some extra funds in their accounts from earlier wins.

Of the three trending bets for Prescott, I didn't expect the alternate total to offer the best value, but that's the case in this scenario. Prescott is projected to throw for 248.7 passing yards, which means we can price the Over 236.5 passing yards at -135 and the Over 199.5 passing yards at -600.

It's a close call between these two bets in terms of which one offers the better edge, but the alternate total just edges out with a 10% expected value (EV) compared to an 8% EV on the Over 236.5 (-113).

I believe people are taking advantage of the longer odds of -103 for the Over on 1.5 passing touchdowns for Prescott at BetRivers. That differs from other best sports betting sites, where it's priced at -115.

Nevertheless, I'd recommend passing on the Over 1.5 passing touchdowns at -103 via BetRivers, and instead favor both of the passing yard bets on Prescott. Those wagers appear to be more promising.
