Travis Kelce hasn't been this ineffective, this quiet, well, ever.

It's his worst start to a campaign since his first full season in 2014, with career lows in receptions (15), receiving yards (158), and touchdowns (0).

Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs, who remain the Super Bowl odds front-runners, enter the contest against the New Orleans Saints as the Monday Night Football odds favorites.

For the first time in his career, Kelce has failed to get into the end zone in the first four contests of a season. While the sands of time are clearly pouring against the three-time Super Bowl winner, Kelce still has a lot to give.

Plus, Mahomes is running out of reliable options to toss the ball to.

Rashee Rice, who severely damaged his knee in the Chiefs' 17-10 Week 4 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, was the latest to be placed on the IR. He joins Isiah Pacheco and Marquise Brown on the treatment table.

The Saints and the Chargers are the only teams that haven't allowed a passing touchdown in the red zone. The list will be whittled down to just the Chargers after Kelce ends his four-game barren patch.

Kelce's 89 receiving yards were almost three times as much as his second-biggest haul of 34 yards in Week 1. That putrid stat shows just how ineffective he's been in all but one outing.

Look for that to change against the Saints.

Not only will he be called upon more, but the Saints allow the sixth most receiving yards to opposing tight ends (54.25). He's also projected to secure 67.6 yards, well above the threshold for this prop.

Kelce had nine receptions last week in Los Angeles, the first time he hit the Over this season. Last week's performance was more like what we've come to expect over the years.

New Orleans allows 4.25 receptions per outing to opposing tight ends, below the threshold required for this prop to hit.

But Mahomes will be looking to dump it off to Kelce quickly and frequently, particularly without Pacheco as a backfield option. Kelce had at least six receptions 11 times last season.

While he probably won't hit that total this season, he must step up in the others' absence for the Chiefs to maintain their unblemished record.

FanDuel gets the clean sweep for this prop, once again offering the best price. The +100 odds pay a $10 profit on a winning $10 bet.
