After back-to-back 3-14 seasons and a second coaching change in three years, the Tennessee Titans hold the No. 4 pick and face one of the most debated selections in the draft - whether to invest premium capital in a running back or continue building around second-year quarterback Cam Ward with defensive reinforcements under new head coach Robert Saleh.
As part of our NFL draft predictions for every team, we break down the Titans' full draft picks, biggest team needs, ideal prospect fits, mock draft projections, and our prediction for which player Tennessee will draft in the first round, which begins tonight at 8 p.m. ET live on ABC, ESPN, and NFL Network.

🆘 Titans team needs entering draft
We break down every team's projected NFL win totals with our best Over/Under picks by division.
- Team needs: OL, EDGE, WR, RB, LB
- Key additions: John Franklin-Myers (DL), Jermaine Johnson II (EDGE, via trade), Wan'Dale Robinson (WR), Alontae Taylor (CB), Cordell Volson (OG)
- Key departures: T'Vondre Sweat (DT, Jets via trade), L'Jarius Sneed (CB), Chigoziem Okonkwo (TE, Commanders), Kevin Zeitler (OG)
The Titans have been one of the most active teams in free agency, adding Franklin-Myers and Johnson to give Saleh the pass-rush depth he covets after his 49ers defense produced a league-low 20 sacks in his final season there. But the offensive line still needs work, particularly at center and right guard, if Ward is going to take the leap Tennessee needs from him in Year 2. The skill-position group could use another explosive weapon, too - the Titans ranked 30th in yards per play last season (4.8).
🏈 Titans draft prospect fits
I asked NFL draft expert Rob Paul to pick the Titans' best prospect fit in a dream scenario, their safest pick, and their best upside pick tonight:
| Pick type | No. 4 pick | Grade | Paul's take |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🌟 Dream pick | Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame | 7.40 | This is the rare draft where it's easy to justify taking a running back top five, both because of how weak this class is and because Love is one of the few blue chip players with his home run hitting ability and pass catching upside |
| 🛡️ Safe pick | Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State | 7.40 | If Robert Saleh wants to find his Fred Warner in Tennessee, the Titans might swing on the physically imposing Sonny Styles, who checks every box from athleticism to leadership to production with his instincts and take-on skills |
| 🚀 Upside pick | David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech | 7.30 | If Bailey is on the board when Tennessee picks, he might offer the most upside in terms of positional value, and the All-American is as explosive as any pass rusher in the draft, and he would give Saleh a cornerstone to build around |

🎯 Titans first position drafted
Tennessee needs help at multiple positions, but the conversation at No. 4 comes down to whether Robert Saleh opts for a franchise linebacker in Sonny Styles or an electric playmaker in Jeremiyah Love. This Kalshi market has been taken down for now, but we'll update this section if that changes before the draft.

Paul's pick at No. 4: Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame
- Pro comparison: Edgerrin James
- Measurables: 6'0" | 212 lbs | 20 years old | RAS: N/A
If both Reese and Bailey are off the board, Robert Saleh and Mike Borgonzi will have a tough time passing on Jeremiyah Love. Love is a top-three player in the class, and in a draft that's weaker up top, it's easier to get over the lack of positional value in selecting a running back this early. The All-American is one of the best running back prospects in recent memory, too. He averaged 4.5 yards per carry after contact in 2025 and finished No. 2 in the Power Four in 15-plus-yard runs (23).
