After hiring new head coach Jesse Minter and nixing a blockbuster trade this offseason, the Baltimore Ravens have plenty of work ahead with the No. 14 pick and glaring needs on their offensive and defensive lines.

As part of our NFL draft predictions for every team, we break down the Ravens' full draft picks, biggest team needs, ideal prospect fits, mock draft projections, and our prediction for which player Baltimore will draft in the first round, which begins Thursday at 8 p.m. ET live on ABC, ESPN, and NFL Network.

🆘 Ravens team needs entering draft

We break down every team's projected NFL win totals with our best Over/Under picks by division.

  • Team needs: OL, EDGE, WR, DL, CB
  • Key additions: Trey Hendrickson (EDGE), Jaylinn Hawkins (S)
  • Key departures: Tyler Linderbaum (C, Raiders), Isaiah Likely (TE, Giants), DeAndre Hopkins (WR), Dre'Mont Jones (DL, Patriots), David Ojabo (EDGE, Dolphins), Daniel Faalele (OG, Giants)

Losing Linderbaum in free agency leaves a massive void at center for the Ravens, who also need to add help at guard after Faalele left for New York. Signing Trey Hendrickson helps the pass rush, but Baltimore still finished with just 30 sacks last season - tied for third-fewest in the NFL - and there's room for another edge presence, especially with Nnamdi Madubuike's status still unclear after missing last season with a neck injury. Baltimore will also be targeting receivers in a deep class of pass-catchers, ideally a bigger-bodied wideout to complement Zay Flowers and help Lamar Jackson return to MVP form.

🏈 Ravens draft prospect fits

I asked NFL draft expert Rob Paul to pick the Ravens' best prospect fit in a dream scenario, their safest pick, and their best upside pick for Thursday:

Pick type No. 14 pick Grade Paul's take
🌟 Dream pick Rueben Bain Jr., DL, Miami 7.35 If not for being a historical outlier due to his arm length, there's no way Bain would fall this far, but if he does, there's no way the Ravens should pass on one of the most powerful and disruptive players in the draft class
🛡️ Safe pick Vega Ioane, OG, Penn State 7.25 This would be a classic Ravens pick - one of the highest floor players in the class, with power in the run game and an anchor in pass pro that could play up to a Pro Bowl level immediately
🚀 Upside pick Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon 7.20 Tight end isn't the biggest need in Baltimore, but Sadiq would be a perfect Isaiah Likely replacement at F with his ability to be a complete mismatch thanks to his explosiveness

📝 Ravens mock draft consensus picks

I went through the latest mock drafts from other top experts across the industry and gathered their predictions for the Ravens' first pick in the 2026 NFL draft. Here's who they expect Baltimore to draft at No. 14:

Source Pick
Mel Kiper (ESPN) Spencer Fano, OL, Utah
Chad Reuter (NFL.com) Caleb Banks, DT, Florida
Mike Renner (CBS) Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon
Todd McShay (The Ringer) Rueben Bain Jr., EDGE, Miami
Dane Brugler (The Athletic) Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon
Nate Tice (Yahoo) Francis Mauigoa, OL, Miami

The draft community is split on what Baltimore does at 14, but Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq is the only player to show up twice - he'd be an uber-athletic replacement for Isaiah Likely behind starter Mark Andrews. Two of the other six expert mock drafts expect the Ravens to select an offensive lineman, either Utah's Spencer Fano or Miami's Francis Mauigoa, which aligns with Paul's pick below.

Paul's pick at No. 14: Vega Ioane, OG, Penn State

  • Pro comparison: Kevin Zeitler
  • Measurables: 6'4" | 320 lbs | 22 years old | RAS: N/A

Two popular pairings with the Ravens are Faulk and Vega Ioane. With Faulk off the board, GM Eric DeCosta would be smart to take one of the closest players to being "bust-proof" at a position of need for Baltimore. Ioane can step right into the starting left guard spot as a rookie and bolster the Ravens' run game with the violent pop in his hands and tone-setting attitude that usually has him playing through the whistle. Ioane's strong anchor in pass pro can also help keep Lamar Jackson upright.
