After hiring new head coach Jesse Minter and nixing a blockbuster trade this offseason, the Baltimore Ravens have plenty of work ahead with the No. 14 pick and glaring needs on their offensive and defensive lines.
As part of our NFL draft predictions for every team, we break down the Ravens' full draft picks, biggest team needs, ideal prospect fits, mock draft projections, and our prediction for which player Baltimore will draft in the first round, which begins tonight at 8 p.m. ET live on ABC, ESPN, and NFL Network.

🆘 Ravens team needs entering draft
We break down every team's projected NFL win totals with our best Over/Under picks by division.
- Team needs: OL, EDGE, WR, DL, CB
- Key additions: Trey Hendrickson (EDGE), Jaylinn Hawkins (S)
- Key departures: Tyler Linderbaum (C, Raiders), Isaiah Likely (TE, Giants), DeAndre Hopkins (WR), Dre'Mont Jones (DL, Patriots), David Ojabo (EDGE, Dolphins), Daniel Faalele (OG, Giants)
Losing Linderbaum in free agency leaves a massive void at center for the Ravens, who also need to add help at guard after Faalele left for New York. Signing Trey Hendrickson helps the pass rush, but Baltimore still finished with just 30 sacks last season - tied for third-fewest in the NFL - and there's room for another edge presence, especially with Nnamdi Madubuike's status still unclear after missing last season with a neck injury. Baltimore will also be targeting receivers in a deep class of pass-catchers, ideally a bigger-bodied wideout to complement Zay Flowers and help Lamar Jackson return to MVP form.
🏈 Ravens draft prospect fits
I asked NFL draft expert Rob Paul to pick the Ravens' best prospect fit in a dream scenario, their safest pick, and their best upside pick tonight:
| Pick type | No. 14 pick | Grade | Paul's take |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🌟 Dream pick | Rueben Bain Jr., DL, Miami | 7.35 | If not for being a historical outlier due to his arm length, there's no way Bain would fall this far, but if he does, there's no way the Ravens should pass on one of the most powerful and disruptive players in the draft class |
| 🛡️ Safe pick | Vega Ioane, OG, Penn State | 7.25 | This would be a classic Ravens pick - one of the highest floor players in the class, with power in the run game and an anchor in pass pro that could play up to a Pro Bowl level immediately |
| 🚀 Upside pick | Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon | 7.20 | Tight end isn't the biggest need in Baltimore, but Sadiq would be a perfect Isaiah Likely replacement at F with his ability to be a complete mismatch thanks to his explosiveness |

Baltimore needs to shore up the interior offensive line after losing Tyler Linderbaum in free agency, but tight end is also in play after Isaiah Likely's departure to the Giants. The experts are split between guard Olaivavega Ioane and tight end Kenyon Sadiq at No. 14, but the market is in much stronger agreement about OL being the play at this spot.

Paul's pick at No. 14: Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon
- Pro comparison: Vernon Davis
- Measurables: 6'3" | 241 lbs | 21 years old | RAS: 9.52
It's a new era in Baltimore as Jesse Minter takes over for Harbaugh, but GM Eric DeCosta is running the show on draft night, and he went to the Ozzie Newsome school of taking the best player available. While tight end isn't the most glaring need for the Ravens, adding a weapon like Kenyon Sadiq gives them a perfect replacement at F-tight end for Isaiah Likley. Sadiq can be a ball winner down the seam for Lamar Jackson, create after the catch with his explosiveness, and he's a more than willing blocker.
