Patriots vs. Jaguars touchdown pick

Evan Engram anytime touchdown scorer (+240) ⭐⭐⭐

Last week, in his first game since Week 1, Engram finished with 10 catches on 10 targets for 102 yards. He led the Jaguars in all three categories.

Though Engram didn’t score last week, if he continues to be such an integral part of this offense, his opportunities will come, especially against weaker defenses.

Last week's opponent, the Chicago Bears, rank fifth in scoring defense, while the Patriots rank 21st.

DraftKings has the price set at +180, which implies a 35.71% chance of Engram scoring. In a game when the Jaguars should have some offensive success, +240 is worth the risk.

Best Patriots vs. Jaguars prop bets

Drake Maye Over 200.5 passing yards (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Jaguars are allowing a league-worst 276.7 passing yards per game, and though they held Caleb Williams to 226 yards last week, that was only because his four touchdown passes turned the game into a blowout.

The Patriots don’t have the personnel to blow anyone out, so Maye will either be playing from behind or in an even matchup for all of Sunday. He proved last week that he’s more than capable of picking up yards, as he threw for 243 against the Houston Texans.

The total at all of the best sports betting apps is giving the Jaguars’ defense way too much credit. BetMGM actually has the number set at 194.5, but it's asking -130 for the Over, so there is little value in playing there.

DeMario Douglas Over 48.5 receiving yards (-113) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

If Maye is going to have a huge game, then so is Douglas. Last week, Douglas finished with six catches for 92 yards and a touchdown. He was targeted nine times in the game. It was his second consecutive game with six catches, but with Maye under center, his targets were much more productive, as he averaged 15.3 yards per reception instead of 9.8.

Douglas was Maye’s favorite target by a lot, nearly doubling the target share of the next-most-targeted player. This number seems to be accounting for a poor game from Maye, and while a rookie taking a step back in their second game wouldn’t be shocking, the Jaguars’ secondary is really that bad.

The total is set from 47.5 to 49.5. The two best sportsbooks offering 47.5 are asking -132 or worse for the Over.

Offering one more yard for -113 seems like an oversight from FanDuel, especially when you consider that bet365 and DraftKings both have the number set at 49.5, and they’re asking at least -120.
