Packers vs. Eagles Prediction, Picks & Odds Today: NFL Wild Card Weekend
The Green Bay Packers will be seeking retribution against the Philadelphia Eagles during Wild Card Weekend. Green Bay lost to Philly back in Week 1, and now the Eagles enter this clash sitting among the top-tier contenders in the Super Bowl odds.
It was difficult to make my best Packers vs. Eagles prediction since Jalen Hurts is returning from a concussion after not playing since Week 16. Will he be in top form against a defense that's already faced him this campaign?
Philadelphia is a 5-point favorite at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, with the game slated for 4:30 p.m. ET (FOX).

Hurts’ injury looms large
When these two teams met in Week 1, the Eagles won 34-29 on a neutral field in Brazil. While it would make sense to expect the Eagles to win by more than they did in the first matchup because of where the game is being played, Hurts has me worried.
Hurts barely played against the Washington Commanders in Week 15, and he’s missed the last two contests. In three of his last four complete games, he threw for fewer than 200 yards, and while he threw for 278 against the Packers earlier this season, he also had two interceptions.
Packers fall short again
Yet for all of the concerns around Hurts, I can’t recommend taking the Packers outright. While they won a game as the seventh seed last season, this Eagles team is much better than the Dallas Cowboys squad they faced a season ago. While the Eagles’ offense has some question marks, the defense allowed the fewest yards and second-fewest points this season.
Additionally, the Packers are just 2-5 against playoff teams this season. Four of those losses were by five or fewer points, which is why I’m taking them to cover in this game.
But for as competitive as this team has been, they haven’t been able to finish games. With running back Saquon Barkley at 100%, the Eagles will hand the Packers their sixth close loss of the season.

While so much attention has been given to Hurts’ injury, people seem to forget that Love also enters this game banged up after suffering an elbow injury in the regular-season finale. While he was left off the injury report, I'm still not confident enough to take him or any of his receivers to have solid games against this Eagles’ defense.
Therefore, the best player prop of this game is Barkley to run for at least 103 yards. In the first game against the Packers, he ran 24 times for 109 yards and two touchdowns. While the Packers now have the seventh-best run defense in football, they couldn’t stop Barkley the first time.
Barkley enters the postseason on fire. He’s run for at least 100 yards in six of his last seven games, and he’s topped 150 in back-to-back contests. Considering his recent success, seeing this number at just 102.5 is shocking, especially with a price of -110.
Packers vs. Eagles line movement
The spread has gradually been moving in the Eagles' favor since opening with them as the -4 favorites. It went to -5 yesterday, and then widely to -5.5 in the hours before kickoff today.
The total has been steadier while mostly sitting where it started at 46, though it did briefly dip to 45 or 45.5.
