In our Lions vs. Packers SGP predictions based on the best NFL odds, we anticipate a triumphant return to the lineup for David Montgomery.

Thursday Night Football between the Detroit Lions (2-1) and Green Bay Packers (2-1) should welcome a number of key players back to the lineup on both sides, as David Montgomery and Christian Watson look to make their respective marks on this divisional rivalry.

SGP predictions for Lions vs. Packers

David Montgomery Over 50.5 rushing yards (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

David Montgomery hasn’t been healthy for the Lions in a couple of weeks, but he racked up 37 rushing attempts between Week 1 and before he was injured during Week 2’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. For as much as the Detroit coaching staff hypes up Jahmyr Gibbs, they actually give the ball to Montgomery.

Against a Packers defense that ranks tied for 27th in the NFL in run defense, allowing 136.7 rushing yards per game this season, Montgomery’s anticipated workload should be plenty sufficient to clear this rushing total.

FanDuel and DraftKings both list this yardage total at 50.5. FanDuel (-110) offers slightly better odds than DraftKings (-115) on the Over.

Christian Watson Over 39.5 receiving yards (-110) ⭐⭐⭐

Christian Watson is set to make his season debut for the Packers on Thursday night. The athletic wide receiver enjoyed a breakout as a rookie, scoring seven touchdowns over a four-week span last November. This year, he was set to assume WR1 role for Jordan Love before a hamstring injury took him out of action for the first few weeks.

Although chemistry with Love could take time, Watson’s deep-ball acumen makes his yardage prop particularly attractive. With Aaron Rodgers still in the mix, Watson cleared this yardage mark in seven of his final eight games in 2022. It’s possible he could do it with one splash play Thursday night.

DraftKings offers a small advantage on this yardage for this prop, offering Watson’s total at 38.5 yards instead of 39.5 at FanDuel. Both props have -110 odds on the Over.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Under 6.5 receptions (-136) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Green Bay has allowed under 200 passing yards per game to its opponents this season while limiting opposing quarterbacks to 22 completions per game. Although Amon-Ra St. Brown is Detroit’s most heavily involved receiver, his reception total at 6.5 feels lofty in a game script that should see the Lions attack this Packer defense on the ground. St. Brown has cleared this total just once in three games.

The odds between FanDuel (-136) and DraftKings (-135) on this prop are virtually identical. Plugging it into our parlay at both locations results in a slight edge for the value of the FanDuel SGP, +473 to +460. While DraftKings offered a small advantage on Christian Watson’s yardage, we’ll officially go with the slightly juicier odds provided by FanDuel.
