We have just about a week left of the MLB season before the calendar flips to October and the battle for the World Series truly begins. But before the first pitch flies in the postseason, let's dive into the World Series and MLB award odds and favorites to answer the question: What's left to be decided?

World Series odds 2025

The Philadelphia Phillies have done nothing but climb the oddsboard this season. Entering the campaign at +1100 World Series odds at our best sports betting sites, Bryce Harper and the boys sat at +1000 less than two months ago.

World Series MVP odds

Yes, the man who I believe should win AL MVP is sitting at +1600 betting odds to win the World Series MVP. The Seattle Mariners are primed to make a deep run in the postseason with a litter of All-Stars leading the way and arguably the best starting rotation in baseball.

AL MVP odds

Cal Raleigh owned +550 AL MVP odds in mid-September; he's now the favorite at some of our best MLB betting sites.

It's a two-horse race between him and New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge, but Raleigh has (broken) records and narratives on his side. The MVP is no guarantee, though. While the Mariners catcher may have put forth the best season of all time from that position and broke Ken Griffey Jr.'s record for most home runs in a year for a Mariners player, Judge still has him beat in a couple of key statistics, including WAR, BA, OPS, and OPS+. 

Will Raleigh's 58 home runs be enough? Time will tell - with five games left to play, it's still anyone's award.

NL MVP odds

This one is all wrapped up, the fat lady has sung, and Shohei Ohtani will be winning back-to-back NL MVP awards. The man may end up being the best player of all time - if he isn't that already.

At 53 home runs, Ohtani is going to put forth another 100-RBI campaign, all while pitching to a 3.29 ERA. At -10000 betting odds, don't bother here (he's -50000 at some sportsbooks). These odds have all but closed.

AL Cy Young odds

Tarik Skubal is not only your AL Cy Young odds favorite, he's going to win the AL Cy Young. Garrett Crochet made it close throughout the season, but there was ultimately no stopping the Detroit Tigers ace, who owns a sub-1 WHIP, alongside a 2.33 ERA this season.

Much like the AL Cy Young award, the NL Cy Young award winner has already been chosen.

Paul Skenes (-10000 betting odds) will be your award recipient once the regular season comes to a conclusion. Skenes, who is somehow 10-10 despite a 2.03 ERA, never really faltered despite the Pirates giving him next to no run support all season. With a 209/42 K/BB ratio, Skenes more than earned his first Cy Young award in just his second season.

AL Rookie of the Year odds

Welcome to the show, Nick Kurtz, who ripped the award away from teammate Jacob Wilson midway through the season. Kurtz, who owns -5000 AL Rookie of the Year odds, is becoming a bona fide superstar, slashing .291/.384/.613 with 33 homers in just 398 at-bats. Just hand him the award now.

NL Rookie of the Year odds

We actually have a tight race in the NL Rookie of the Year odds market, with Atlanta Braves catcher Drake Baldwin and Chicago Cubs starter Cade Horton duking it out with a week left in the season. 

Baldwin is currently riding a six-game hitting streak, with four multi-hit games during that span, and is making a serious run to end the year. He's ultimately slashing .275/.344/.462 with 18 bombs in an impressive rookie season. 

On the other side, Cade Horton is the leading candidiate for a reason - he owns a 2.66 ERA for the Cubs and has allowed just four earned runs across his last 27 1/3 innings.

AL Comeback Player of the Year

Much like the Cy Young award in both leagues, the AL Comeback Player of the Year is already wrapped up. Jacob deGrom was a -900 betting odds favorite before the sportsbooks closed this award down. Coming off Tommy John surgery, the veteran owns a 3.01 ERA with a sub-1 WHIP, and is a big reason why the Rangers are still alive in the Wild Card race.

Ronald Acuna Jr. was a -1100 Comeback Player of the Year odds favorite before the sportsbooks closed the odds on this award. Acuna is slashing .285/.415/.508 since coming back from a season-ending left ACL tear in May 2024, and will be receiving this award in a few weeks' time.

What John Schneider has done this year with this Toronto Blue Jays roster is truly magical. With a week left to play, the Blue Jays own the AL East by two games, and are a pair of wins away from locking up the division. Schneider is a -250 Manager of the Year odds favorite, with A.J. Hinch of the Detroit Tigers (+220), and Joe Espada of the Houston Astros (+1000) in the rearview.

We had a two-manager race between Pat Murphy of the Milwaukee Brewers (-175) and Craig Counsell of the Chicago Cubs (+115) before the sportsbooks took the odds down. For my money, the oddsmakers got this right. This is Murphy's award to lose after captaining the Brewers to the best record in baseball on a $117-million payroll (18th in MLB).
