Playoff seedings will be rounding into form as Week 17 plays out and the NFL's regular season draws toward its end, and we have a look at the opening NFL Week 17 odds and betting lines from our best NFL betting sites to give us an idea of what to expect.

With no games on New Year's Day, the Week 17 NFL slate is spread across Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Thursday Night Football is an AFC matchup between the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns as Cleveland continues to impress and push toward a postseason berth. Saturday features just one game as well, but one that is likely to shake up the Super Bowl odds, as the Dallas Cowboys host the Detroit Lions. While the game is on Saturday, the NFL treats it as the year's final Monday Night Football.

Sunday features a large 14-game slate, but perhaps no game bigger than the Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens in the AFC. Our final Sunday Night Football game of the season pits the Green Bay Packers against the Minnesota Vikings in an NFC North clash.

Here’s a closer look at all of the NFL Week 17 odds from our best sports betting sites.

NFL Week 17 odds and lines

There's an advantage to betting the early NFL odds while trying to beat the closing line. The closer you wait until kickoff to make your NFL picks, the more difficult it becomes to identify edges and secure the best number on most side or total wagers.

That's why it's important to start monitoring the NFL opening odds each week as soon as possible. A proactive approach is the first step to long-term success.
