Two teams looking to cap a perfect preseason meet up at 1 p.m. ET Saturday at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland (NFL Network, NFL+), and we’re locked and loaded with our Rams vs. Browns predictions.

NFL oddsmakers have dropped the ball so far on the Rams and Browns - both teams pulled off outright upsets in their first two exhibition contests. Those same oddsmakers are all-in on the home team in this one, as Cleveland is as high as a 7-point favorite.

When you peruse our NFL preseason Week 3 predictions, you’ll see that’s the biggest point spread on the Week 3 betting board.

You have to go back to 2019 for the last time the Los Angeles Rams won a preseason finale. And that streak is likely to continue Saturday, as Los Angeles once again won’t have starting quarterback Matthew Stafford under center. Several other Rams starters are expected to see limited action at most, while Cleveland’s first-string units will play 20-25 snaps, per head coach Kevin Stefanski.

That being said, Los Angeles has covered the point spread in five consecutive preseason games - winning four of those contests outright. The only exception: a 17-15 loss at Houston as a 4-point underdog last year.

And for what it’s worth, Cleveland has ended the last three preseasons with a loss, including two defeats as a sizable favorite.

The Rams and Browns certainly haven’t had trouble scoring points so far in the preseason. Los Angeles has tallied 54, while Cleveland has put up 52. Collectively, the two teams have hurdled the total in three of four contests.

So why roll with the Under in this matchup - especially when it’s so low? A few reasons. First, Cleveland’s defense has been outstanding, limiting the Panthers and defending-champion Eagles to a total of 23 points (with Philadelphia mustering 88 total yards last week). And stud pass rusher Myles Garrett didn’t play in either contest, though he’ll be on the field Saturday.

L.A.’s defense hasn’t been as stout, but it held the Cowboys and Chargers to 21 and 22 points, respectively. Also, Browns starting quarterback Joe Flacco will lead the offense in the early going Saturday, but he will go against the Rams’ first-string defense.

On the other side, Rams QB Matthew Stafford is still dealing with a back injury. Stafford’s backup, Jimmy Garoppolo, also won’t play. And third-stringer Stetson Bennett, who took the bulk of the snaps in the Rams’ first two games, is giving way to fourth-stringer Dresser Winn.
