It's time to see whether the rookies drafted first will live up to the heightened expectations when the 2025-26 NFL season gets underway. My Offensive Rookie of the Year predictions and best bets focus on three choices from different betting odds brackets.

Will OROY odds favorite Ashton Jeanty or TreVeyon Henderson, the New England Patriots' 38th overall pick, become the first running back in seven years to win the award? Or can my long-shot selection become the first tight end to win in 52 years?

Ashton Jeanty, finishing with 37 yards on 12 attempts, didn't exactly scorch the earth during his first preseason with the Las Vegas Raiders.

That won't concern Jeanty, Pete Carroll, or the rest of the Raiders, though. By all accounts, he impressed the entire organization during training camp, wowing teammates with his power, athleticism, and brute strength.

Just ask the San Francisco 49ers' Deommodore Lenoir about that last attribute.

The Offensive Rookie of the Year odds favorite has the added benefit of entering the season as the Raiders' go-to running back, and he should be heavily utilized in Chip Kelly's offense, both on the ground and through the air.

As one of the team's primary offensive weapons, Jeanty, also featured in rookie bets to make now, will have every opportunity to assimilate quickly, especially as he's already touted as one of the most NFL-ready rookies.

💎 Best value bet to win Offensive Rookie of the Year: TreVeyon Henderson ⭐⭐⭐

📊 Best odds: +1400 via FanDuel ($10 to win $140)
🔢 Implied probability: 6.67%

TreVeyon Henderson is quickly making a name for himself in Foxborough, Mass. Selected in the second round at 38th overall, the 22-year-old already increased his stock in training camp and preseason, rising the depth chart like steam from a kettle.

He might even be the New England Patriots' primary running back come Week 1 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Even if he is positioned behind Rhamondre Stevenson, the presumed No. 1 back, Henderson should receive almost as many carries.

He's also a home run threat due to his zippy acceleration. That potential to be an X-Factor is worth its weight in gold for a Patriots team desperate for playmakers.

The former Ohio State Buckeye is also an excellent option on screen passes and other snappy air routes. And he's an excellent pass-blocker, which will improve his overall Offensive Rookie of the Year resume.

🎯 Best long shot to win Offensive Rookie of the Year: Colston Loveland ⭐⭐⭐

📊 Best odds: +2700 via FanDuel ($10 to win $140)
🔢 Implied probability: 3.57%

The Chicago Bears' rookie tight end impressed during the preseason, catching four of five passes for 38 yards. He has the distinct advantage of working under Coach of the Year odds favorite Ben Johnson, the catalyst for Sam LaPorta's transcendent rookie season in Detroit.

Johnson already deployed Colston Loveland alongside Cole Kmet in various double-tight looks. The former Michigan star will get plenty of opportunities to impress in his rookie season. He's an excellent route runner, a commanding physical presence, and has the athleticism to maximize yards after the catch.

Caleb Williams and Case Keenum sung his praises throughout training camp, with the Bears' backup crediting Loveland for his ability to get open and possessing elite non-verbal cues.

Make no mistake: He's an outsider to win OROY, but with Johnson pulling the strings, Loveland is in with a chance.
