No team in NFL history has won consecutive regular season games outside of the U.S. Last week, the Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Atlanta Falcons 23-7 at Wembley Stadium and have had a full week of practice in England, whereas the Buffalo Bills flew in on Friday. However, that extra time for acclimatization has not always worked in the teams’ favor.

This will be the second time these two teams have met in London. The Jags got their first-ever win in the UK when they beat the Bills 34-31 at Wembley in 2015.

The Jaguars and Bills have faced each other 18 times and each team has nine wins in the series. Every one of the last six matchups has been decided by seven or fewer points with the last two each decided by three points.

The Bills head to London in excellent form. They’ve won three straight games by at least 28 points, the longest such streak by any team since the Bills themselves in 2020. The only team in NFL history to win four straight games by 28-plus points was the 1942 Chicago Bears.

Trevor Lawrence is going to have to be at the peak of his powers to keep up with Josh Allen and the Buffalo offense. Lawrence threw for 207 yards and ran for another 42 yards against Atlanta last week. He has had 40-plus rushing yards in three of his last 13 regular season starts after never reaching 40 yards on the ground in any of his first 25 starts.

Allen threw four touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins, his ninth career game with four-plus passing TDs and zero interceptions (including the postseason).

There has been a feel-good factor among the Jags in London this week. Head coach Doug Pederson said the mood has been different. He might have to pull some tricks out of his locker to surprise Buffalo.

The Bills were very content when they arrived at their practice facility on Friday. Von Miller has traveled with the team and said he is 94% sure that he will play. Allen and Stefon Diggs warned the league that they’re still finding ways to get better as a duo.

They’re averaging 34.8 points per game this season, and only the Dolphins (37.5 PPG) are averaging more. The Jaguars are averaging 20 points per game.
