A heavyweight NFC tilt between the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles starts off the NFL's Week 2, and our Vikings vs. Eagles player props for Thursday Night Football help you get the best of the NFL odds.

Two conference championship contenders kick off Week 2 of the NFL season. Last week, the Philadelphia Eagles began their NFC title defense with a tough win against the New England Patriots. The difference in that game was a 70-yard interception by Darius Slay that was returned for a Philly touchdown.

This week, Philadelphia will play host to the Minnesota Vikings who did not fare as well against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. The Vikings were outdueled by Baker Mayfield who made his first start for the Bucs. Minnesota will look to get its season back on track with a win.

To go along with all of our NFL Week 2 predictions, here are our best Vikings vs. Eagles player props for Thursday Night Football, which accompany our Vikings vs. Eagles predictions and NFL player props (NFL odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Vikings vs. Eagles player props: Thursday Night Football

Kirk Cousins Over 0.5 interceptions (-120 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

When you have a roster full of talented receivers, you use them. Such is the case for Kirk Cousins who attempted 643 passes last season, landing him fourth in the league in that category. Of course, putting the ball in the air that many times comes with its risks. Cousins threw 14 interceptions last season which was the third most in the league. He was picked off at least once in eight games during the 2022 season.

Last week, Tampa Bay rookie Christian Izien corralled a pass intended for K.J. Osborn at the goal line to account for the Minnesota signal caller’s lone interception. In his career, Cousins has completed a pass to his opponent at least once in seven of 10 games against Philadelphia. He threw three interceptions in his last meeting with the Eagles.

This week, he'll oppose a Philadelphia defense that's already picked off Mac Jones in its opening game.

1st touchdown yards Over 8.5 (-115 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Both of these teams started their 2023 with a highlight reel first touchdown. Minnesota welcomed rookie Jordan Addison to the team by getting him into the end zone on a 39-yard pass from Cousins. Philadelphia crossed the goal line for the first time this season with a Darius Slay 70-yard interception return to the house.

Each team also allowed their Week 1 opponents to reach the end zone for the first time on a play of at least nine yards. The Eagles surrendered a Hunter Henry touchdown reception of exactly nine yards. Minnesota watched Mayfield connect with Mike Evans for a 28-yard score.

The Vikings only reached the red zone in three of their 11 possessions last week against the Bucs. Only one of those resulted in a score. Philadelphia crossed the opponents 20-yard line only twice last week. One drive ended in a 5-yard DeVonta Smith touchdown. The other was a Jake Elliott field goal.

T.J. Hockenson longest reception Under 18.5 (-125 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Since joining the Vikings in November of last season, T.J. Hockenson has only two receptions of at least 19 yards. His longest catch as a Minnesota tight end was a 21 yarder against his old team in Detroit. He has faced the Eagles three times in his career, all with the Lions. His longest reception in that span was 18 yards in Week 8 of 2021. No other tight end for the Vikings registered a reception of more than 17 yards last season.

Both Hunter Henry and Mike Gesicki caught passes against Philadelphia last week. Neither crossed this threshold. However, Gesicki came close with a 17-yard catch on the Patriots’ last drive of the game.

I'm targeting Minnesota's No. 1 receiving option with my Justin Jefferson player props for Thursday Night Football.
