Justin Jefferson Player Props, Odds Week 2: Can Eagles Stop Vikings Star on TNF?
We're evaluating our favorite Justin Jefferson player prop predictions based on the best NFL odds as the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings get set to begin the NFL's Week 2 on Thursday Night Football.
It was another stellar individual performance for Justin Jefferson last week despite his team losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In spite of the defeat, the Vikings stud wideout caught nine passes for 150 yards.
This week, he and Minnesota will take on an Eagles defense that allowed Mac Jones to rack up more than 300 passing yards. Jefferson is poised to feast on a shaky Philadelphia secondary in prime time.

Last season, Jefferson averaged just over 106 receiving yards per game. He managed 10 games with at least 100 yards receiving in his 17 appearances in the 2022 season. On the other hand, A.J. Brown averaged just 88 yards per game last year with only five games over the century mark.
In his career, Jefferson has outperformed Brown’s yardage output in 26 games. Of those, 25 of them have cleared this spread. This includes last week in which Jefferson posted 150 receiving yards. Brown came up well short of this with a 79-yard performance in his Week 1 contest.
These two have clashed just once before. Brown bested Jefferson 69-48 in total receiving yards during Week 2 in 2022.

Justin Jefferson Over 9.5 yards on 1st reception (-115 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
In his 150-yard explosion last week, Jefferson averaged 16.7 yards per reception. Four of his nine grabs were well over the 10-yard threshold for this prop. His first catch went for only eight in this game. However, Cousins was under pressure and did not give his receiver the best opportunity for yards after the catch. Jefferson’s next catch, though, resulted in a 30-yard gain.
Over his career, the young receiver has averaged 14.9 yards per reception. His average depth of target has also never been lower than 10.5 yards. In 2022, an impressive 630 of his 1,809 receiving yards came after the catch, proving he can turn a short throw into a big gain.

In eight games last season, Jefferson amassed the most receiving yards in the contest as the clock hit zero. He started off the Vikings' 2023 campaign by leading all wideouts in yards from their quarterback. All told, he accounted for 44 percent of Kirk Cousins’ Week 1 passing total. The Minnesota star outpaced Mike Evans of Tampa Bay by 84 yards in that game.

His competition this week, Brown and DeVonta Smith, combined for only 126 yards last week against New England. On his own side of the ball, the Vikings wideout with the second highest receiving output was rookie Joran Addison with 61 yards. Of those, 39 of them came on one catch for a touchdown.
