For much of the 2023 NFL regular season, the Kansas City Chiefs couldn't escape the horrors of their receiving corps. That was before Rashee Rice emerged as a go-to target of the group for Patrick Mahomes, and he should be a featured focus against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58.
The rookie receiver finished the regular season with 79 catches, but 43 came in his final six games. He has 20 grabs for 223 yards in the postseason, and we like his chances of continuing that success on Sunday.

Rashee Rice Over 67.5 receiving yards (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐
Rice has had a few massive games this season without catching many passes, but he's had some games, like the AFC Championship, where he catches a lot of passes but doesn’t amass many yards.
In his last two games, Rice has gone for 46 and 47 yards despite catching 12 passes during that span. However, we’re backing the Over because the 49ers’ secondary has a few problems, as shown in both of their playoff games. With how much Mahomes has come to rely on Rice, it’s hard to imagine him not targeting his top wide receiver at least nine times, as he has done in seven of his last nine games.

It’s shocking to see this good of a price being offered by FanDuel. Some of our other best sportsbooks are asking -130 for the over. For as uncertain as Rice’s receiving yardage is, he should end this game with at least seven catches.
He’s recorded eight catches in two of his three games in the postseason and has at least seven catches in six of his last nine dating back to the regular season.
The 49ers rank fifth-worst in the NFL in completions allowed per game. While that could be chalked up to them playing from ahead for most of the season, they’ve been susceptible to bad performances against great quarterbacks this season. Rice will have plenty of opportunities against this defense as a primary target of Mahomes.

Finding a third prop for Rice is no easy task. His longest reception could go either way, and he’s unlikely to lead the game in receiving yards or receptions. Therefore, we will take the best price available for him to score a touchdown.
Rice had seven touchdown receptions in the regular season and scored a postseason touchdown against the Miami Dolphins a few weeks ago. While he’s far from a lock to get in the end zone, he has scored in exactly half of his games. The 49ers play a bend-don’t-break style of defense — he may struggle inside the 20, but he’s the type of receiver who can bust a long touchdown at any time.
Don’t get greedy and take Rice to score multiple touchdowns. He has yet to score multiple touchdowns in a game in his career. And based on how the 49ers play, this will not be the breakout game for him.
