NFL Player Props for Week 2: Best Prop Bets This Week

From a fantasy football perspective six running backs (the most since 2004) had 30-point weeks, and that has me excited to back one of them with my NFL player props for Week 2. Derrick Henry passed Marcus Allen for the third-most career rushing touchdowns last week, and I get creative with finding value on one of his lines in a Week 2 matchup against the Saints.
To add to the rest of our NFL Week 2 predictions, I have my top wagers on two other positions (quarterback and wide receiver). It all looks to build upon last week's profitable 2-1 record, where the only wager I lost was a Chris Olave anytime touchdown play (he did still haul in 10 catches for a game-high 182 yards).

Caleb Williams Under 1.5 passing touchdowns (+105 via bet365)
The Vikings' defense made great adjustments over the two weeks they played the Bears last season. In Week 1, Minnesota blitzed 35% of the time (with a 0% defensive back blitz percentage) while generating a 28% pressure rate and allowing a 72 QBR. In Week 11, the Vikings blitzed at a much higher 67% rate (19% from defensive backs) and generated pressure on 42% of dropbacks while allowing a 31 QBR. Those trends should continue, as Minnesota blitzed on a league-high 71% of dropbacks in Week 1.
I'd only make this play if I was getting plus-money odds, which I expected to after Chicago put up 59 points last week, its fourth-most in a game in team history. But the Bears also tied a record with six rushing touchdowns, and could rely on the ground game just as much against an aggressive Minnesota pass rush.
🔬 SBR Edge: Not buying the Ben Johnson trend
In games where Ben Johnson offenses have gone against Brian Flores-coached defenses, Johnson's team is 5-1 while averaging 27.5 points per game. But a lot of that data was with Jared Goff and the Lions offense, so I'm paying more attention to Minnesota's head-to-head success in the rematch against Chicago and Caleb Williams from last year.
Derrick Henry longest rush Over 16.5 yards (-130 via bet365)
Derrick Henry is coming off his eighth career game with 125-plus rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns (ranks second all-time). He now has at least 100 rushing yards and averaged six-plus yards per rush in each of his last five games, and another would tie him with Adrian Peterson from his 2012 MVP season for the longest such streak in NFL history.
It was always going to be interesting to see how Baltimore's offense was going to look under new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle. In Doyle's time with the Bears, Chicago had the fourth-most rushes in 12 personnel, and ranked seventh in rush success rate. Early returns bode well for Henry to keep going off in the new system, especially after he was in formation 79% of the time under center (his most as a Raven).
This wager is worth the slightly extra juice at bet365 (carrying a 56.52% implied probability), as Henry's O/U is at 17.5 at the high end of the market.
Alec Pierce Over 43.5 receiving yards (-114 via FanDuel)
It was unclear if Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce would be limited or on a snap count after offseason surgery. To some extent he was having played just 58% of the snaps and running 21 routes in Week 1. But he still led the team in targets, air yards and receiving yards. And after leading all wide receivers in aDOT each of the last two seasons, he averaged just 8.7 yards in that metric last week, which is still encouraging given that the Indianapolis coaching staff is trying to use him in a variety of ways.
Pierce averaged 76.3 receiving yards per game on the road in 2025, eighth-most among wide receivers. This would be a much more confident play if Chiefs rookie cornerback Mansoor Delane missed the game because of the shoulder injury he suffered last week. But we're still getting the best number and price at FanDuel, as Pierce's O/U is as high as 45.5 at other top sports betting sites.
