The Green Bay Packers host the Detroit Lions with first place in the NFC North on the line. Both teams are among the top 10 in the Super Bowl odds.

Making the best Lions vs. Packers player prop bet picks means navigating the unknown. Jordan Love and Josh Jacobs are both questionable, and the Packers’ defense could be without Jaire Alexander and Corey Ballentine.

Meanwhile, the Lions' first game outside of a dome this season looks like it’s going to be windy and rainy. Will Jared Goff and Co. find the same magic that's made them the NFL's highest-scoring team? Or will they struggle even against a depleted defense?

Lions vs. Packers touchdown pick

Josh Jacobs to score 2+ touchdowns (+750) ⭐⭐

While Jacobs and Love have both been practicing, there’s still a chance neither plays. However, Jacobs' situation looks much more positive, and he could be in for a huge game in rainy and windy conditions.

Jacobs has only scored four touchdowns this season, but each has come over the last four weeks. He notched two touchdowns for the first time this year last week. And with the weather and his quarterback not at 100%, he’ll get more chances against a defense allowing 1.0 rushing touchdowns per game.

The best price for Jacobs to score a touchdown is -120, which is steep.

But to get him to score multiple at +750 is appealing. Caesars is putting the price at +340. That means Caesars is giving Jacobs nearly twice as much of a chance as BetMGM to score multiple touchdowns as part of your NFL Week 9 predictions.

Best Lions vs. Packers prop bets

Jared Goff Under 218.5 passing yards (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Goff threw for just 85 yards last week, as the Lions barely needed him on their way to 52 points. The signal-caller had thrown for at least 280 yards in four of five games before that contest. While Goff, who sits fourth in the NFL MVP odds, has certainly found his rhythm, his first outdoor game is likely to be a mess because of the weather.

Even though the Packers are worse against the pass than the run, the Lions boast one of the best rushing attacks in football. Expect them to rely heavily on Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery to prevent Goff from making mistakes in a bad situation.

Weather is factored into this total, but it’s still too high. Goff has gone Under this number three times this season. Four of our five NFL prop betting sites have set this total set at 218.5, and bet365 is featuring the best price.

However, our C. Jackson Cowart believes Goff will still throw a few touchdown passes as part of his NFL Week 9 player props.

Best odds: -110 via bet365 | Implied probability: 52.38%

Jahmyr Gibbs Over 63.5 rushing yards (-113) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Gibbs has run for 100-plus yards in two straight games, and he’s now topped 63.5 rushing yards in five of his seven contests. He'll split time with Montgomery, but Gibbs is the running back without a fumble this season. His sure hands in wet conditions will help Gibbs set a new season-high in carries.

The longshot in the NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds is averaging 6.4 yards per carry this season. On a normal playing surface, the Packers, who are allowing just 4.3 yards per attempt this campaign, would likely hold an advantage. But the elusive Gibbs should end up close to his average yards per attempt on a wet field.

The total is set between 63.5 and 67.5 at our best sports betting sites. BetMGM and bet365 are each offering -110 for Over 67.5, and while that’s fair, Over 63.5 for -113 provides the best value.
