The Jaguars have won three of their last four games, and they're in control of their own destiny heading into Thursday night’s game with the reeling Jets.

The Jets have lost three straight and four of their last five. Their offense struggled considerably against a weak Detroit Lions secondary in Week 15. Now the team takes on a Jaguars defense that ended a Week 15 win over the Dallas Cowboys with a pick-6.

SGP Predictions for Jaguars-Jets

Zach Wilson 2-plus interceptions (+215) ⭐⭐⭐

Wilson may have thrown two or even three interceptions this past Sunday if the Lions' secondary was better. The young quarterback made a lot of questionable decisions, and he was lucky those throws mostly worked out.

He's in a lot of trouble if Wilson makes the same mistakes against the Jaguars. The Jags rank among the top 10 in interceptions forced per game. Wilson has only thrown six interceptions all season, but he'll give Jacksonville plenty of chances to capitalize this week.

Travis Etienne Under 74.5 rushing yards (-130)⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Jets’ defense is continuing to play really well despite the team's slump, especially against the run. Only one running back has recorded 75-plus yards against New York during its last four games, which came when the Vikings' Dalvin Cook rushed for 86.

Etienne is coming off a very solid outing against the Cowboys (127 yards from scrimmage). But he was quiet during the four weeks prior to that while not breaking 60 yards once. There was a four-week stretch at the end of October and the beginning of November when Etienne looked unstoppable, rushing for over 85 yards in all four games. But he hasn't produced an overwhelming amount of success beyond that period, which is unlikely to change against the Jets.

Garrett Wilson Over 59.5 receiving yards (+100) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wilson has been racking up targets and yards over the last four weeks, and that shouldn't stop against a Jaguars defense that's been struggling to slow top wideouts in 2022. He's piled up over 75 yards in four straight games, and the pass-catcher has been targeted seven-plus times in each contest.

He’s the Jets' clear top target, and the attention he gets from the Jaguars' defense likely won't matter. The Jags gave up 126 yards to CeeDee Lamb in Week 15, 114 yards to Amon-Ra St. Brown in Week 13, and 81 yards to Travis Kelce in Week 11.

The Jets will be able to get Wilson the ball as much as they want. Based on their recent game plans, that will likely be often.
