Who will win Mets vs. Blue Jays?

First pitch: 3:07 p.m. ET, Rogers Centre (Toronto, Ont.)

Mets to win (-125) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Blue Jays have been about as sporadic as starting pitcher Bowden Francis this season.

Toronto is in the middle of a 2-6 stretch to start September and has scored three or fewer runs in five of those eight games.

With Sean Manaea slated to take the mound for New York, the offensive output should continue to be minimal. Manaea, a lefty, is at his best against right-handed batters - which make up most of Toronto's batting order.

Right-handed batters are slashing only .192/.275/.318 against the 32-year-old this season. And in two starts in September, Manaea's ERA is just 2.63 with opposing batters hitting .119.

Without the support of his bats, Francis could find himself in trouble against a Mets offense that's top 10 in OBP (.319), OPS (.734), home runs (182), walks (460), and total bases (460).

If the Mets with their 11th game in the last 13 outings, a $10 bet pays an $8 profit.

Prediction: Pete Alonso Over 1.5 total bases ⭐⭐⭐

I'm swinging for the fences, just like Pete Alonso seems to every time he's up to bat.

It's been a slow start to September for the slugger, but he's in perfect position for a get-right game against Francis. The Blue Jays' starter has been all over the place this season with an ugly July followed up by a strong August.

However, he came back down to earth in his last outing - giving up six hits and two homers in six innings. Alonso can take advantage of Francis, who goes to his four-seamer 51.4% his split-finger 19.2%.

Alonso is mashing four-seamers with a .266 average and .636 SLG and has seen similar success against split-fingers (.286 average, .667 SLG, 64.3% hard hit rate.)

A $10 bet pays a $13 profit if Alonso goes Over 1.5 total bases.
