It's the final day for Group G, H, and I group-stage play, and we're making our best World Cup parlay picks for Friday. There is plenty on the line with none of the 12 teams officially eliminated, and only Group I's France and Norway officially clinched through to the knockouts.
With spots to play for in the next round, as well as seeding, we're breaking down all six games and coming up with our World Cup best bets.

💰 Best World Cup parlay starting leg
Cape Verde vs. Saudi Arabia - both teams to score: yes (-125)
My absolute favorite play on the slate, and not necessarily because either team features a lot of attacking prowess. It simply comes down to necessity: a victory for Cape Verde brings them to five points, and a guaranteed spot in the knockout rounds; a victory for Saudi Arabia brings them to four points, which is likely enough to book a spot in the knockouts as a third-place team at worst (and honestly likely brings them to second in Group H).
Rather than worrying about which team will get the three points, the focus is that a draw ends both teams' hopes. Numbers will be thrown forward in the second half if things are still in reach, and this one should come down to the final whistle with neither side winning to accept their fate if they're not in the driver's seat.

💵 SBR Edge: Playing directly into each other's hands
Saudi Arabia have only scored one goal through two games, but in their defense, Cape Verde has only scored two goals against the same two teams. It would seem that Saudi Arabia will have to push numbers forward to get on the board, and that should play directly into Cape Verde counter-press. Both teams will be pushing hard to get all three points here.

France moneyline (-154) vs. Norway
Both these teams are punched through to the Round of 32 but first place in the group remains up for grabs. It's easy to look at the results and think that they're more evenly matched than they are. I don't see it that way.
But France have serious edges in the midfield and on the backline. Les Bleus will dominate possession in this game and have the skill on the back end to shut down a rather strong Norwegian attack. Norway's defense has long been considered the weak spot on the team, and France's offense - arguably the best in the tournament - will be able to get through for at least two or three. I don't see Norway keeping pace.

Mikel Oyarzabal to score or assist (-120) vs. Uruguay
Lamine Yamal is the man who gets the attention, and rightfully so. He's the best young player in the world; he can make something out of nothing, and he gives defenses fits. We've even gone ahead and done a full article about the wunderkind, so you're covered for the day with our best Lamine Yamal player prop bets.
No one benefits more than Oyarzabal. Like the rest of the squad, which was nursing some injuries and perhaps caught off guard in their opener vs. Cape Verde, he was held off the board in the opener. The striker bounced back against Saudi Arabia on Matchday 2, posting two goals and an assist. Spain isn't done showing people what they're made of - especially not when they don't have the group shored up yet.
They'll be good for a couple (or more) against Uruguay today, and Oyarzabal will likely find a path to being involved along the way.
